I have created a bug tracker for the forums. Please report any issues you experience now that the forums are upgraded. This is not for suggestions.


If you have created a post in the upgrade thread about a bug, please re-create your post as an issue to make sure I see it. I may also, in free time, manually make a bug ticket in your name. But please do not rely on this and recreate your issue as a ticket in the system just in case (unless you see I have already done so for you).

I'd like to report, that sometimes the text editor disallows me to use CTRL+A (selecting the whole text) - instead of selecting, it just moves the position of the text cursor to the end.


I've even tried clicking Right Mouse Button and picking that option manually, but the same thing kept happening.


Why do I want to select all? Because I'm always doing this and copying my whole post before posting in case if I'd be automatically logged-out. I've lost my work multiple times by that here and there, so now I'm always copying - making a backup.


It happens sometimes, for example now I'm able to do this, so I'm really not sure what's causing it. I've tried pasting the post, that I couldn't select somewhere else, but I was able to use CTRL+A, so it eliminates some possibilities, so:


- It's not caused by trying to CTRL+A a wall of text


- It's not caused by trying to CTRL+A a post with multiple quotes


Either way it's not the first time - I've encountered the same issue before ~ I was saying about this in the upgrade thread.


I'm telling this, because perhaps somebody is experiencing the same thing sometimes? That way I would know more?


I'll be keeping an eye on that one and provide more information if this will keep happening.


Additional info:


- I'm on PC


- I'm using Google Chrome


That's all for now ~ If it happens only for me, then don't mind the report at the moment ~ Perhaps I've used some magic to break it, so I'd like to wait for experiencing more of this before panicking, just to be sure.

No but why would you make a bug report in a thread talking about putting bug reports in a specific section? For organization sake. It helps a lot, thanks!

Because as I said ~ I want to be sure, that it is an issue before reporting this for serious.


I just don't want to bother anyone, while not being 100% sure. Perhaps I just accidentally clicked somewhere and bugged it few times?


If it will keep happening then I'll be sure to post it there with more information.

That's what bug verification is for. It helps a lot to just post in in the correct place the first time, regardless if it's an actual issue or not. Much easier to keep track of.

I thought, that if that thread was opened, then it would be better to post it here, since the bug section looked pretty serious, so I didn't want to spam there yet.


You can remove my posts ~ I'll move it to the bug section once I'll found more information about the issue.

Balls, now when I took a second look at this, then you're right. I could done that there.

Not sure if this qualifies for an entry here, but since Shaz encouraged me to, here is what I've encountered:


I can create new topics in Resource Staff Releases (like nguyendeptrai) and Product Announcements, but on the other hand I am unable to answer available topics in Product Announcements.

Only problem is that you posted in the annoucement of the bugtracker, not in the bugtracker itself.

I'd like to bring another issue with the text editor that happens a lot.

Yeah, sorry about that...


Anyway, the issue is with putting links into images.


When I'll highlight the image and press the link button on the editor, this box shows up, except~

What does not work are these two buttons. Clicking them does ABSOLUTELY nothing. It's a button clicker *click* *click* *click* ...


What I've tried


Re-opening the window multiple times didn't work


Re-pasting the image multiple times didn't work


Refreshing the page multiple times didn't work


I can't access the raw code, so I can't edit that manually ~ I need to rely on windows, that don't work.


Solution... Or workaround I should say..


To get that to work, I had to paste the image on different forums, change the link and paste it back there.


I know it's not your fault, nor anything, don't get me wrong, I didn't come here to complain, just bringing that up, perhaps that's a bug that can be fixed?


Though the IPB's update is where I can complain, but again, it's not your fault. x3

A: No, it happens a lot. Just like tons of other issues related to that extremely bugged text editor. =/


Q: Does that always happen?


A: Actually not. Editing link in one image will work perfectly, on the another image it will not... Kinda random... Though it may have something to do with copying&pasting images, that have links already, but holy balls, it's not a reason to bug the whole editor up. That's hilarious, that you can so easily break the editor...

Once again - I know it's not your fault and I know you probably can't do anything, so it's fine if nothing will be done ~ I'm just reporting such a thing, to point the issue out.


I believe you all know how that text editor is inconvenient, so yeah... Don't tell me that's not true, since I'm not the only one having troubles with that.
