Hello!

I have a problem. When i try to open link from google search results, first time was redirected to <snip let's not link sites that are potentially scams pls>(link already deleted).

The second and subsequent clicks open the correct reference, as was intended. If I clear forum's cookies, then again get a link to url4short!

I looked for some information on the topic "IP.Board" and "url4short" and found that it's the old problem of protection. I hope our forum all okay?

Can anybody tell me if there is even one such problem or is it just my?

p.s. I scanned my computer for viruses and no one was not found

I've been getting those too, granted if you back out of the page and return it's normal. I really thought I was the only one.

Me too! I thought it was a problem with the search engine... (I'm using Bing, btw)

It seems to happen randomly on my end, something like one in twenty times.

This is happening randomly to me as well since two or three days ago, and even happened twice today.

Does it have something to do with the forum maintenance back then?

Url4short has nothing to do with the forum. It's a type of browser malware: http://www.malwarejail.com/url4short-redirect-virus-removal

If you are being redirected to Url4short sites, it means your system is infected by the malware.
I believe that what we're experiencing is not the Url4short virus on our computers, but it trying to enter them: everytime I get url4short instead of RMW, my antivirus activates and blocks the page, also, my homepage hasn't changed...

My browser is not redirected to absolutely any links! Only leading on this forum.

The malware infects browsers and can direct you to dodgy sites, rather than the ones you intended to visit. Though, it is possible that the forum itself has had a malicious code injected into it.

Ok, ok I understand your point of view.

But please explain to me then why forum set cookies "modtids =% 2C" as if it has been infected?

I never really use google to go to the forums. It's already on my history (to the point that typing f on the address bar automatically types the whole URL for the forums), it's also on my google bookmarks (the one you see on the new tab page). It's also pretty short to memorize... So unless you're someone who is really new, you should reach this without using google search. Though if the forum itself was infected, then it would be troublesome and will need to be addressed.

PS: Just tried it btw, didn't happen to me.

I think that's definitely besides the point, but just to clarify, i think all of us have the site's URL memorized. What happens (at least in my case) is that I'm looking for a resource or a script in the search engine and I get a link to this forum. That's how I ran into the url4short thing myself.

I visited this forum at a pc at work and got it right away. 3 google searches later, it happened again. Back on my home pc, I have this site as one of my tabs along with a few others so I don't really need to use google for it so nothing so far via my pc at home. Something is definitely up and it only seems to happen when I visited this forum via google.

It might only my browser that already injected by some malwares. Because in some sites, my browser randomly open a new tab contains 'onclickads' links. Same as Adiktuzmiko, I already bookmarked this forum so whenever I want to open the forum, I just need to click the bookmark anyway.

Just be careful. You don't want some nasty malware installing a dodgy program on your system and bogging your computer down.
