RPG Maker Forums

Hello, (officially)

I've been lurking (I believe that is the correct term) the forums for quite some time now, but did not want to post

anything because I did not have an avatar. But I now have some of my drawings scanned to my computer, I chose a old drawing of Kenshin. I guess I will start with my background with RPG Maker.

I first started playing with XP when I started college. I never got anywhere, though I could draw and make sprites using

Photoshop. I signed up for the Ruby school but could not figure some of the stuff out. I had other things going on with music and school. Years later..... My friend showed me VX ACE. The fire was rekindled, So found the this site and we both created an account. I did not have a PC that could run ACE effectively, so I did not buy it, he did. So I used his when I could. I was learning a lot and then he moved. Long story short he move back and I was working on his PC and saw he still had ACE. With all my free time now I'm back on the wagon.

I have plans to buy a copy of ACE and Game Character Hub when I get me a better PC. I would use my laptop but it

only has a gig processor and gig of ram, I know behind on the times. My MAC is pretty beefy but I only use it for recording music. I also want to help the community with resources. Music is really easy for me to do, and I've start drawing again so maybe some Faces and Sprites. I believe in returning goodness with good. I've been studying Ruby again and this time I've gotten much further. I have completed a very short game using the tutorials but wont be making a more worthwhile game till I get me a copy.

I really enjoy this community, It seems like a lot is happening here. The people seem very cool and honestly without

the community I dont think I could put years and years into a game. Thanks to all.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
