The artwork looks incredible and the music is gorgeous, I'll definitely look at getting this. :D

Weirdest enemy from an RPG?

Hmm. . . offhand, the only ones that comes to mind are the 3 golden pigs from Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana, they were nearly impossible to beat. :|

Next to that would probably be Amalgam from the same game.

The game's antagonist: Mull, creates Amalgam by fusing Manas together (he's evil/insane), but his plan backfires and Amalgam uses elemental extraction on Mull.
So, to put it into simpler terms, Mull is consumed by his own creation.

This pack's graphics and Celianna&Lunarea steampunk tiles are a match made in heaven.

Some battlers and facesets are quite compatible in style with the previous Fantasy Hero Character Pack. Not exactly identical, but not eye-glaringly mismatched either.

Wow, the pack looks really nice!

The weirdest enemy encounter in an RPG for me would be the first time seeing the Floaters from Fallout 2. I wasn't very old when I played the game for the first time so their appearance freaked me out quite a bit. Wasted way too many grenades, rockets and bullets to get rid of 'em before they'd reach my crew.

I hope Frontier Works releases some Futuristic Battlers in an add-on pack.  Somehow, seeing a scientist battling a dragon doesn't make a ton of sense, except for a possible Bio-Experiments Lab gone haywire...

The weirdest boss I ever saw?  I haven't seen a ton of unusual bosses (Final Fantasy III and IV, DQ IX, the original Dragon Warrior, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG).  The weirdest one was definitely in Super Mario RPG.  At one point, you are fighting a CAKE.

Man, that was one sweet victory...

And, no, I couldn't resist the bad pun.

Wow, lately you release so many packs, who can keep up with that? :D

I like the portraits, very nice quality. Am I the only one who is curious about the look of the sprites as well?

Hmm, weirdest boss... I have to say, probably the Super Blob from Lufia down on the 99th level in the ancient cave.

It was a real challenge to even get to this level and up until then you only heard of the boss of the ancient cave as 'the master'. I imagined an evil supermaniac mastermind or something like that, not a giant blob. It basically had a huuuge hp pool and that was it. Also, it killed itself after very few turns and if you didn't manage to kill it before that, you wouldn't get the precious loot. What a... blob.

Badass pack, I'll play along for it.

Weirdest enemy or boss would have to be Meta-God from shadow hearts. It is lanky and very odd that makes you say wtf.

It's face spins around and it looks like a deformed love child. The wings are bigger than it's body, whatever it is it needs to go back to the hole which it came from.

I do not know if this counts, but I've created a pretty weird villain / protagonist, anti-hero so-to-speak in a mini RPG game I'm working now.  It is called the Revenge of the Chickens Game and features the Chibinator.  The demo is available on request, but I'd like to fine-tune it before I offer up as a forums project.  A video link, poster of the weird "villain / protagonist" and screenshots included.  I could not resist at trying my luck for the Futuristic Heroes and BGM pack.

Those battlers look amazing!

Hmmm... Then I'd prefer my Flying Thunderbird boss from my Chicken Games... It's weird because first and foremost, it's not a Chicken... then it sends out electric balls that doesn't kill you but heals it...

RMMV
Legit? The weirdest (and probably the most awkwardly creepy) monster I've run into in an RPG goes to Final Fantasy VI's Cruller. I've been trying, for the longest time, to figure out what exactly these things are supposed to be, but I seriously don't know what to call them. Despite how relatively easy they were, they always made me nervous in that I expected them to do something horrible. Monsters THAT hideous don't just take their beatings idly. They fight back with something nasty.

<-- Just LOOK at this thing!! DX

I would have to say the wierdest boss i've faced would be Midbus. He is a wierd cross between a dinosaur, pig, and bull. I fought him in Mario and Luigi Bowser's inside story. Another wierd thing you had to defeat was bowsers guts, though they weren't considered a boss since they didn't fight back.

Wierdest Boss I ever fought...

That jumpy spidery thing with the clown riding it in Dark Cloud 2.

Spider and clowns together... each is scary enough on its own.

There are so many to choose from, 'weird' seems the norm really.  But if I have to go for one, then the Tonberries in FF.  Nasty.

EDIT

Actually, there is another one that would get my vote, if only I could remember what game it was in.  It was a series of books.  If anyone can remind me, I might edit this post again and change my nomination.

@CharRedBaron:

Yes, the Master is also the one I found the weirdest.

Interesting that there are almost only J-RPGs bosses cited (especially from Final Fantasy) and the only western RPG I know cited here is Fallout (1&2).
And both you and me voted for the Master :rock-right:

I guess there's a tendancy in J-RPGs to have more weird bosses than their western counterparts. That's an interesting point here.

What series of books? What was the plot?

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
