You're actually going really fast. Bases are the hardest part, once you have them putting clothes and hair and such on is relatively easy. Not making any game and just making art is the entire reason why I don't yet have a game, at some point I just gave up and decided to do the part I enjoyed most anyway. You've got to set your time limits, goals, and priorities early if you don't want to get sucked in to playing with pixels the whole time.

Thanks Sharm.... and by the way, I really appreciate all your help.  I'm glad to hear I'm going "fast" even if it doesn't feel like it.  It's hard for me to not look at it as, hey, it's not that many pixels, why is it taking so long to change just a few pixels?!   ;)

You're right, I do need to set limits and goals.  I am definitely going to make a game, but I really wanted to make sure I had distinct child and adult sprites because my game idea requires it, and I figured it was a good chance to try my hand at pixel art.  The limitations includes me not making 8-frame animations and scripting compatibility for that... heh, that would really take me forever!  Once I get the base done for adult male, adult female, and child with run in all directions, I will move to actually making the base game.  Then I'll go back and add walk animations or whatever when I have the basic framework ready.  I think going back and forth will help keep me motivated.

Anyway, spent a bunch of time today on the adult female run.  I'm not totally happy with it, but it's late and I figured it was time for a progress report.  Included the idle along with some running.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
