but there are some tilesets for elemental dungeons and magic school type stuff.
I've purchased the Elemental Dungeon tilesets as well. I think they'll go fairly ok w/ FSM assets. I use tall char sprites from this generator as a base.

Do you think that this tilset is more for taller characters or chibi one? Because in the demo there are only chibi characters and i really don't understand if it fit or not :(
I love FSM, and it works great w/ tall characters. This is a map I'm making (WIP), so not very impressive. Please excuse the naked Orc lol.

I think you can firstly think how you want your game to be. Is it a 20-chapter-long story? Is it kind of normal, with 4 areas to go, 2 castles, and maybe 5 dungeons? Then you can decide how many "kinds" of tilesets you need and start to look for them.

To me, I'm make a short game with 3~5 maps only. It's a desert-like world, so FSM can't do much on this. Even though I like FSM style, too, I have to give it up.

If you really need something that FSM does't have, you either don't use it or you have to alter your game.

Commission is another way. If you really only need few more things, I think it's a good way to pay someone to make one. After all you don't need a whole set, right?

You can expand your dark dungeons a lil' bit with the Cursed Kingdom tile pack. It's in a similar style as FSM and contains parts for: bloody torture tiles, demonic portals, and a few other things of that nature.
Dang, I just check out the Cursed Kingdom pack, but its art style doesn't really match FSM imo. Cursed Kingdoms uses dithering while FSM has more of a painted look. I really wanted to use those assets too...

I really have to get used to the idea, because I've been used to seeing standard rtp for years, but I'd like to avoid using something you see everywhere. FSM is visually beautiful, I just have to get used to the different aspect ratios/sizes. It will be a huge job to recreate all the maps ... x_x

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
