I didn't saw the new version.

Thanks for updating it, my game isn't jerky anymore when I play it with Firefox open. :D

Stay tunned for more updates. : )

Razzi : it comes from your mouse script, it probably uses the ShowCursor api, that's a side effect.

Looking forward to being able to replace the black bars with images! Love your scripts!

*Edit - Quick question. Would the bars be able to show any information other than static images? For example, would it be feasible to be able to use them as a HUD of sorts? Or at least show variables?

I have to say, this script is amazing, I use a TV screen for my PC and it is 32 inches, I can't go into full screen on my TV screen so it is a very small box and difficult to read also it hurts my eyes, but thanks to this script it allowed me to go into full screen with my TV.

Just wanna toss this out for anyone that wants to use this script it really works well, good job Zeus81

Can I just put the script anywhere in Materials, or are there more specific instructions for where it should go?

Yes just put it in Materials.

It would be possible but it's not a very good idea, the bars are here only in fullscreen mode when your screen is not the same format as the game, there's no guarantee anybody will see it, it's not supposed to be an active surface.

I, for one, would like to be able to at the least show a custom image on the black bars for aesthetic purposes. Is it something that's fairly easy to modify in the script to do or does that require some extensive work?

Zeus, is there a way to always stretch the images to fit the monitor size? Even on fullscreen++?

Is there a way to change this script so that it does not increase the window size (the resolution size stays the same so it is blurry) before pressing F5?

(I am using the high-resolution .dll which I imagine is making a difference)

Nope, it wasn't working that's why I blocked it.

Oh, ok. I'm trying to get the game showing at 544*416, allow changing to 1366*768 via the .dll and another script, and also allow fullscreen via this script. Seems harder than I thought it'd be.

Sorry for necroposting, but this script is super awesome.
It even get rid of the annoying jitter and performance drop under Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. :D
It works with resolution change, rescale everything, perfect work, thank you so much. :3
You served one of my major issues I had for so long, I'm very, very thank you. :D (\s/)

This script is really awesome even though I moved to RMXP. I'm still addicted to it when I used VX Ace. Is there any chance that you might port this to an XP version or if there's already an equivalent of it. Please let me know. Thanks in advance! :)

I may shouldn't ask, but I still have a question, is it possible to add Anti Aliasing?
It seem's not to have it. ;)
But I guess that gives the performance boost. :/ (\s/)

The stretching is done automatically and I have no control on it.

Some people have antialiasing, I think it depends on hardware.

For next update I plans on doing a new fullscreen mode with which we could choose the scaling method and that would be compatible with XP but with a performance cost indeed.

Remembered this script and the second post shows that I can remove the title bar and window frame.

Works well when I need to make videos.

Also let's me set the position of the window, which is really convenient.

I wrote this

https://gist.github.com/HimeWorks/7e51f5c7636da2b2f3c6

Since I wanted to toggle the border/title.

When I toggle it to hide the borders, it works fine.

When I toggle it again to show the borders, the border/title doesn't come back.

So I added the ratio adjustments as that is the technique you've used to toggle full-screen, and the border comes back as needed.

However, if I press F6 to enlarge the window, when I hide the borders, it just shrinks the window to something like 1x5.

What can I do to make the border-toggling work regardless of the size of the window?

Also, how can I preserve the window position when I toggle the border?

If you add

return if vx_fullscreen? initialize_fullscreen_rectsat the beginning of your function I think it should be ok.
Though it won't be compatible for long... : )

Idk where this post would go, so how do you change the font of the choice selection window? I have a different font for the game so it looks a little odd could someone tell me where this would go on the forum?
