One of the races in the game I am making are Killer Whale/Dolphin people. But I've never really transitioned well into the digital format. I've drawn up the face in paint.net using my mouse (ick!) but I'm having a really hard time coloring it without making it look even more hideous. Anyone up for taking a swing at it?  The chest, marking and lower jaw is suppose to be white, the top of the head and shoulders are to be black. But I want it to look wet. I tried to capture that by giving some muscle definition but I just have no idea how to digitally paint. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm willing to try to help you out here! My only question is that I have some confusion over what's happening in the area behind the neck--I inked over your initial lines for some clarity, but I don't want to do anything you don't want back here:

And this is to be a bust portrait, yes?

Get back to me on it and I'll give it a shot.

Ah, I think i'm seeing it a little bit better after some squinting. That's actually a shoulder--it wasn't easy for me to tell at first glance, thanks for the help there. I can't always assume things by looking at them haha
