So, i recently picked up skyrim for the switch.
As i played i dabbled in training different skills my overall level shot up pretty fast.
I trained alchemy blacksmithing pickpocketing enchanting sneaking archery heavy armor light armor blocking one handed and two handed weapons...
But more and more i struggled to fight monsters. Why?
Because the world scales with the character. The higher your overall level the stronger the monsters become.
I restarted with a plan.
So, because i cant use both a one handed weapon and a two handed weapon at the same time i used only one handed weapons.
To save further levels..
i used exclusively light armor.
I never crafted anything.
I never used a bow.
End result? I destroy everything no problem. I was punished for trying out the different aspects of the game.
I could of used alchemy to brew potions for restoring hp or extra power.. But if i did the monsters got stronger too. So now to match them i HAVE to brew potions.
I could train blacksmithing to craft better armor to protect myself.. But until i reach the level to craft the armor im actually making the game harder.
For example..i can upgrade my armor at level 30 smithing.
While i train from 1-29 im raising my overall level without increasing my combat effectiveness...
Any thoughts?
