Galenmereth fighting friends in Super Mash Bros. Wii U

Want to see me fight my friends in Super Smash Bros. Wii U? Well what do you know; that's what this topic's for! I'll be posting videos as I get them uploaded and recorded, and I'd love to talk about the videos and game in general with anyone interested. I'll also make small notes about noteworthy elements in the videos. Be sure to choose 720p60 as quality, so you get that sweet 60fps action and can see all the frames! Now, without further ado, here we go:
 
Round 1: Ganondorf (Galenmereth) vs. Rosalina (DeBauchery)




This video is pretty cool because beast mode near the end, where I somehow manage to avoid death at > 184% damage, and go from a 1 stock vs 3 stock situation to victory. Yay.
 
 
Round 2: Capt. Falcon (Galenmereth) vs. Sheik (bates)



This video features Capt. Falcon getting the world-shattering knee attack in multiple times. What more could you want? It's also a very fast paced battle.
 
Round 3: Ganondorf (Galenmereth) vs. Rosalina (DeBauchery)



Another Ganon and Rosalina fight. This one's a hoot.
 
Round 4: King Dedede (Galenmereth) vs. Link (bates)



This is a match full of shenanigans. Watch out for that ending, too, and look very closely at what happens
 
Round 5: King Dedede (Galenmereth) vs. Sheik (bates)



It's spiny hammertime. This is a fun fight with platform shenanigans.
 
Round 6: Lucina (Galenmereth) vs. Little Mac (bates) - Sweet Little Mac edge play



bates overcomes Little Mac's very disappointing jumping prowess by punching me in the face almost at screen bottom; what's not to like?
 
Round 7: Ganondorf (Galenmereth) vs. Link (bates)



Dodging bullets and bombs, and using boomerangs to my advantage -- Sneeeeaky.
Round 8: Lucina (Galenmereth) vs. Marth (bates) - Exciting swordplay bonanza - Super Dodge Bros.

Those were some pretty close matches. If I can offer advice on Ganondorf: Slow down. Wait for an opening then charge in with the Side-B or Side Smash. Also never use the Down-B as a faster recovery to the stage. A good player will see that a mile away and knock you off the stage. Otherwise very good showing! Do you have a absolute favorite character?

Yeah, I like to be a bit too offensive, so I'm working on that. And that down-b is just a bad habit of mine It's improved in one of the other videos I believe. Thanks for the advice.

So far I'm trying to find a favorite; in Melee it was Capt. Falcon, in Brawl it was Dedede and Ganondorf. Now the characters I play the most are Ganondorf, Dedede, Capt. Falcon, Palutena (she might become my favorite actually) and Shulk (because switching modes really messes with the opponent, I really like this). But compared to Brawl, where the balance was so off whack, in Smash 4 I'm having a hard time deciding: All the characters feel really viable, and most of them are really fun to play, too.

I feel you on the whole aggressive bit. My friends stopped playing fighting games with me, because I'm relentless when pulling off combos and keeping them on defense. It seems you're a lot more comfortable using Dedede then Ganondorf. I would practice more with him over Ganon.

My main three are Shulk, Robin, Samus with Shulk being my absolute favorite character in the new roster. I love how flexible he can be in any situation. The only people I have trouble going against are Marth and Link players. I wish I had videos of my matches at tournaments, but I keep forgetting to record them

Aww, that's a shame. I mean, I guess they might not be as into it and feel intimidated, perhaps? I get that. My lady friend won't play against me for this reason; she watches my replays and that scares her away... Team fights are fine where we work together, luckily

Yeah, I'm definitely more comfortable with Dedede since I played him a LOT in Brawl. But for now I'm playing around to find that ultimate favorite. It might end up Dedede though, because his new moveset is delicious!
