Hello everyone. As I'm working on my game, I've come over some instances where I need to customize or add tiles to the tilesheets. Since what I need is probably something others end up needing as well, I thought I'd share them here in this thread. The tilesheet so far is small, but I'll update it as I add more tiles.

My first major additions are sideways shelves/bookcases, a new painting in two different frames and adjusted painting alignment for 2 tile high walls.

  • Frankensprites / Characters / Sprites
  • Inside DNew double bookcase (can be combined with the existing one in Inside B for two additional variations).
  • Stack of three grain bags.
  • Maid's outfit on hanger (will probably be adding more character-sprite clothes on hangers soon.)
  • Added stacked barrels and better vertically aligned paintings for 2 tile walls. Also added a new painting in either gold or silver frame.

The original RTP is licensed and published by Enterbrain. Since this addition uses some of the same visual elements, it falls under the same license the RTP comes with (please read here). This means that you may not use this outside of RPG Maker/Ace unless you've gotten permission from Enterbrain and the necessary third parties. You may cut them out and use them in your own tilesheets, but the license must be respected in either case! It would make me happy if you credited me for using these, but it's not required.

With that out of the way, here we go:

Frankensprites

These sprites are comprised of mixing and recoloring existing RTP sprites.

Information about Inside D tiles:
Summary of tiles:

  • Sideways shelves/bookcases
  • Books, bottles and bags modified to be standalone and placeable on shelves/bookcases
  • Stacked barrels
  • Vertically aligned paintings for 2 tile walls and a brand new painting in either gold or silver framing.
  • Maid's outfit on hanger
  • Three stacked sacks of grain for more variation when using these
  • New double bookcase (can be combined with the existing one in Inside B for two additional variations)
Here is an example of these tiles in use:

Be aware that the shelves are very finicky to get to tile. I haven't bothered making the half-width cases infinitely tileable yet, because it requires a /lot/ of tiles  :)  I'll consider it if people like them and want those repeatable too.

Hope you enjoy these, and if you've got any feedback I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Have an awesome day!

I didn't bother looking at the tiles yet and just gave the topic a like because of your avatar. I'm weird like that.

Just a heads up for anyone who might've used this already, the latest update changes the vertical alignment of the paintings a tiny bit. I moved them all up 2, but I also aligned the pictures so they are visually more appealing and centered towards each other vertically. Additionally, two of the larger paintings were 1 pixel off to the left, and I addressed this.

Added a frankensprite section. I'll expand on it as soon as I clean up some more of my unused resource files~

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
