Is there a way to zoom the fog?

(I'd like to apologize if this a necro-post. I'm not really familiar with the rules yet :))Hi, Galv. I'm kinda having an issue with the plugin. It wont show the layers that I want to show :(. Here's the event that I made that would've triggered the layers to work.

I don't see any issues with your plugin commands. You might need to check for plugin incompatibility to make sure another plugin isn't causing the issue

You need to do the tests to check for incompatibility. I cannot do this for you from a picture, sorry.

Hi, i need some help about that plugin. Everytime i load a map, it says "Cannot read property 'id of the map' of undefined".

The error point to the line 498 of the plugin: this.layerSettings[mapId] = this.layerSettings[mapId] || {}

I'm using Rpg Maker MV 1.5.1. What can be the problem? Thanks!

The error you are getting sounds like you have litterally put the text 'id of the map' in a script call somewhere instead of a number of the map.
Download the demo and see examples of working script calls and how they should look when you use them.

Here's a generic checklist of error trapping ideas also:

Oh nono, i've didn't put any script call. When i turn on the plugin (MV Layer Graphics), i've got that error. The 'id of the map' is a number, for example 8, or 4, etc... for the map i'm trying to load. I've tried with only that plugin in a new project, but there isn't any way to get it work. So, i think that it's for the RPG core version 1.5.1.

MV 1.5.1 is fine with this plugin.
So? What can it be? I've tried everything, even rewrite part of the plugin code to make it read the map id correctly.

P.S. I've resolved! It was a problem with the main map, i've recreated it and it's all fine now!

layer priority (no matter what priority i put, or removing of the other parallax mapping) doesnt affect the image... actually its not showing anything at all. tried reloading plugin but no avail

Yes, please read the plugin instructions.

* When a layer is made, it is stored, so you can set layers for maps before
* a player enters them. The layers are created when the map is created, so
* for layer commands created on the same map, 'REFRESH LAYERS' plugin command
* can be used to force the layers to create during play.
You need to create the layer before entering the map, or use the REFRESH LAYERS plugin command if creating it on the same map you want it to appear on.

Hey Galv! This plugin is awesome! :D
Quick question, is there any easy way to allow pictures to show behind layers? I have Yanfly's Picture Common Events script (to allow for clickable pictures) and I'd like to have some pictures how behind a layer. But, it seems pictures are always on top.
Thank you in advance!

I think that plugin would have to be modified to draw the pictures as part of the layers. I believe they are drawn above by default.

Okay gotcha. I may look into seeing what I can do with that script to achieve what I need.
Again, thanks Galv! This thing is awesome!

Is there any command to fade in/out layers? I'm planning to use it with some time/system plugin, and fade snow or rain in/out in some situations.

I'm sorry to be a bother but regarding the layer priorities, can you go a little more in depth? I know 0 is below characters and 5 is above all characters....

The only way to fade layers is by changing the opacity. There are no commands for fade in/out. There is an example in the demo.

Experiment with the numbers to see where the layer appears in the Z order. Remember you can use decimal places if required.

It seems to me that I'm too lazy to make new MZ plugins with my full time job, so I'm porting my easy, simple and small MV plugins instead.
I hope I can port 1-2 such plugins per day, but this will be hard for me :)
