Layer Graphics
RPG Maker MZ Plugin
Galv

Introduction
I couldn't live without graphic layers. Ported this one from my MV Plugin.

Features
This plugin allows you to use graphics as layers on the map, designed to be used for layer mapping (parallax mapping), fogs and other effects.
Layers can move at different speed to player movement (useful for perspective effects), slide like fogs, display at different levels on the map (below map, below characters, above everything, etc.), opacity, blend, etc.
Uses 'Plugin' command to change layer settings during game.

Can also create layers for battles.

How to Use
- Copy the "GALV_LayerGraphicsMZ.js" file into your project's /js/plugins/ folder.
- Activate plugin using the 'Plugin Manager'
- Create a new folder in your project: /img/layers/
- Use Plugin commands to setup layers
- Read the 'HELP' documentation (also found in plugin manager) for more details and try the demo if you don't understand.

I couldn't live without graphic layers.
Neither could I. Welcome back, Master Galv.

I didn't realize just how much I used this plugin until I ported my project to MZ. I sorely missed it.

To Galv, thank you. I'll donate to you for your awesome work.

That's so funny! I just tried using your MV layers plugin yesterday and realized it still worked in MZ (without plugin commands, though), and I was wondering if you'd come back to port your plugins. Great to see you back.

This is one of those plugins from Galv that I just need (MV, now MZ) - those default 4 layers ( :) )in Makers are simply never enough for me .... Thanks Galv!

Yeah, gotta have moving layers in battle, too!
So good to see you back, I use a lot of your plugins.
Like Magic Shards Menu, Layer Plugin,
the bullet shoting plugin, animated battlebacks and more. ^^

@Galv
Is it possible to anchor a layer graphic on screen coordinates rather then map coordinates?

The plugin wasn't really designed for screen relative graphics. Does the 'Show Picture' command not work for what you need?

If you set a layer's xshift and yshift values both to -48 (assuming you are using default 48px tile size) then it will move with the screen - not sure if that helps do what you're trying.

Hi, i started using your plugin (thx for that!) but i'd like animated parallaxes. I realize it's not done for that for now but i was wondering, if i use an other plugin to animate layers, will it be compatible with yours or not ? Do you know one that would work ?

Other plugins won't be compatible with this one, they would have to be made specifically for it.
You could use a parallel process to change layers, but I wouldn't do that too heavily as lower spec devices may struggle.

Hey Galv!

Hope this isn't too much to ask, but I was wondering if you'd be willing to implement an option (perhaps something compatible with Visu's options core?) to disable layer effects.

I'm making this same request to other plugin devs too, as it seems a lot of new effects/plugin effects with MZ can cause hefty lag on lower-end PCs.

I don't plan on making anything within this plugin, but I did this in one of my own projects.

I added a graphics quality option in the menu that controlled a variable (Maybe Visu plugin can do that?) and then in events that create the layers, I used conditional branches based on that variable to determine which layers and other effects to draw.
