Features
Change the Show Text message box to look different with options for windowskin, font, font size, input indicator positioning and more.
Also has text command to display the message box as a speech bubble.



How To Use
- Copy the "GALV_MessageStyles.js" file into your project's /js/plugins/ folder.
- Activate plugin using the 'Plugin Manager'
- Read the help file and examine the demo to learn how it works.

Updated to 1.5 - fixed a bug where the \pop[aX] text command wont target character if they are party leader, fixed box size issues when using \{ and \} commands

Updated to 1.7 - fixed an issue if face width is changed to use smaller faces, message text alignment wouldn't change.

Hi Galv, there's a way to use the baloon in different position? (upper, middle, low like the Timed Message Popups script)

For this one I made it automatically always over characters but move below them if there isn't enough room to display. If there's interest in being able to set it to display above or below manually, I'll add that to my to-do list

Hi, Galv! Great plugin, I plan to use it, but I found an issue: if I put an message code, like "\!", "\|" or "\.", it's executed before the message. Or is my hesitation?

Can you add the ability to put "\V[x]" into the "\pop[x]"?  So, you can put the ActorID or EventID in a Variable then use that instead...  You could make so a whole of people say random things, but instead of making the random things in the event page you can make a common event and just call the event with a variable for the event id.  I'm sure there are other uses as well, but for now that's the most common one I can think of.

Updated to version 2.0 - fixed an issue I made that caused codes to increase box width. Added ability to use \v[x] inside of the \pop[x] for targeting.

is there a way to tweak where the balloon shows up? it's not showing up anywhere near the event/character I specify...

Im using MBs Mapzoom and the screen is zoomed in at all times to give it an older game look. However because of this the balloons arent rendering in the right spot, could you make a fix for it? :(

Has someone used it with Yanflys Message Core? If I use both the First word in the beginning isn't shown.

@lonewolph - Unfortunately I dont have time for this request. Have you tried asking MB?


@Shiroi Akuma - I have re-tested the plugin with yanfly's core and message core plugin and I cannot replicate this behavior. Please check for latest versions of these plugins and make sure its not another plugin causing it.

It was caused by Iavra Localization which I don't need actually, since it isn't like I imagined.

And.... I couldn't help myself. I linked my card game Lore and Concepts back to my RPG Maker game and made them take place in the same universe. I think that means I need to get back to work on my RPG Maker Game. There's obviously a story here my brain wants to tell.
