In plugin options make the 'Difficulty Txt' text blank.

In the quest txt, put a space instead of a number in the level field.

Great plugin. I am using it. One minor problem. If you deploy to the web and name your file GALVQuest.txt it thinks it is GALV.Quest.txt and can't find it.

This is no big deal, I just used the default and it is fine.

That doesn't sound like something that should just happen... very odd.
Did you change the 'file' setting in the plugin settings?

I set the file name to GALVQuest in the plugin, but its possible I misspelled something. Its fine now using Quest.txt.

Are there files I'm missing? I imagine I have to make them myself?Screen Shot 2017-03-02 at 7.44.07 PM.png

Actually I think it's another plugin requiring this. Never mind, I can fix it!

I can't tell from just that error alone. It might help to get a screenie of the console.
Make sure to start a new game, no other plugins are conflicting and that your plugin settings are correct.

Yes, please read the plugin help documentation. You need a text file, the error there is the text file does not exist in your project.

Thanks! I switched to a .txt file and it worked! Much appreciation!

Hello Galv,
I'm trying to use your script, but I'm failing right at the first quest I want to start. It says "TypeError. Cannot read property 'name' of undefined.
That's how I set up the Script Call: Galv.QUEST.activate(1);

What am I doing wrong? The Plugin is activated.

I don't know from just that info. Here's a checklist you can look through to do error trapping:
https://galvs-scripts.com/errors-using-plugins/
Upsie. The solution was quite simple. I had some spaces in the txt-file, cause I just copied your example and removed the //. So the Plugin counted the quest as non existing. Shame on me.

Edit: I'm having the next problem, the PlugIn can't display the german Umlaute like ä, ü and ö. The maker itself supports them.

You need to save the .txt file in UTF-8 format

Have you found a way to disable the failed quests tab?
Leaving it blank in the plugin options just makes the tab blank but still selectable.
Great plugin. Being able to edit a .txt file on the go is pretty convenient.

(If this is necroposting then the guidelines need layed out better. Theres a ton of plugin threads with months long gaps in them.)

It's not necroposting to post on released plugins.

I have updated the plugin to version 1.3 to allow you to remove the failed quest category by removing the failed text in the options.

Hello, @Galv and thanks for your great plugin. I ran into a bit of trouble with it (version 1.3) - quest journal crashed on menu activation with this error:

QJ error.JPG

Any ideas on what may be the problem? To get the error I just hit escape go to Quest Journal menu option and after a second this text appears. I'll try to provide all the info you might need or I can just send you the whole game with saves. Thank you!

10/24 done :3 Maybe I can finish 11 and 12 this weekend^^
Been updating my game's control scheme to optionally use a mouse. Now the player pixel moves towards the mouse destination, which looks super sweet with the sparkles. Also turns out I made a Mouse Common Event plugin at some point... Thanks past me. :LZSexcite: Now the mouse wheel cycles different forms, and the right mouse button activates that form's special. :LZScool:
Oh man the controls in Mario Sunshine are pretty awful and I haven't even witnessed the controls without FLUDD
