Maybe I'm doing something wrong here, but I've tried Galv.TOOLS.equipTool(id); with both the item ID and the event that gets called. In both cases the tool is not equipped; I need to press one of the shoulder buttons to "cycle" to the one tool available before I can use it.

EDIT: I've gotten around it by using this instead
$gameSystem._tools.selected = 451;
Where 451 is the item ID of my tool.

Using your workaround you have equipped a tool that the player does not have in their inventory.

They do have it in their inventory, though. Hitting the shoulder buttons to cycle tools selects and equips it.
It's just not equipped until you try to cycle and using the built-in method doesn't seem to equip it.

It has been set as a "key item". But I can't imagine that'd affect it. It's still in the same array of items.

Hmm, sounds like a bug! I'll have to add to my list to investigate.
Can you tell me how you add the tool item? Using the normal event command? It appears it hasn't refreshed the tool list for you.

It does not work. I replicated yours 150%!!! It doesn't function! I'm using tons of Yanfly plugins, I've tried everything with porting your system to my NEW game, it doesn't work.

Variables replaced and all, doesn't budge.

I have the latest version of MV and I tried the demo of this. While the crops function works, the tools do not seem to. When I open the chest and obtain the tools, they're not added to the corner image. And nothing happens when I press the switch or tool keys.
