Hi Galv,

Another amazing Plugin :)

Just two notes,

One, as per the attached image, there seems to be a little white dash appear in the top left corner of where the choices present themselves.

Secondly, would it be possible to add a parameter where we can add a font file to our project folder, and input the font name in the Plugin parameters to have this plugin use that for the novel choice fonts? That would give the novel choices a bit of flair and deviation from our standard in game text.

As always, keep up the amazing work :D

I cannot replicate the issue you are having with the white line. I have tested using Yanfly's Core engine to increase the screen size and tinted screen black but no line is visible.

You might need to do some tests to see if it's another plugin causing it - and try moving the plugin underneath other message plugins you might be using.

I have added your font request to my to-do list but not sure when I will get to it.

Sorry for the late response, life got in the way of game making for a bit :p

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for the fixes! Really appreciate you taking the time to listen to our requests, and being so prompt with the patches. The new version works great!!

Hey again Galv, hope you're keeping well o/

I have no idea if this is something that can be fixed via a script, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's pertinent! I tried deploying my project yesterday, checking the new(ish) option to "Exclude Unused Files." Unfortunately, the deployed game couldn't run because it was missing the VNbuttons.png file. It's not that big a deal because I just re-deployed without excluding anything, but maybe future updates could include direct reference to the image or something so that the engine knows not to strip it? Again, now idea how this works, or if other plugins experience the same thing. Just thought it was worth a mention in case it was  :D

I'm actually not sure I can do anything about that. That's functionality of the MV editor and not editable via plugins.

You could deploy using "Exclude Unused Files" and then copy over any additional files used by plugins into the folders in your deployed project files.

I move only required resources into my project folders as I need them while working with Rpgmaker.

@Galv You actually can specify files to not be excluded by the option, the information for how to do that is in the MV Help file under the documentation section somewhere.

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know. Looks like I have a bunch of plugins to update :D

EDIT: Updated to 1.4 - required image will now not be removed with "exlude unused images" deployment option.

Sounds like you are trying to open it in a browser that cannot run local MV projects (such as chrome).

Open the demo up in RPG Maker MV (using Game.project and not index.html)

Your on the ball with these.  I just noticed the little error a minute ago.

It was with the way the game downloaded. I redownloaded and it was fine.  Forgot to post.

This plugin is so dope, I have to mention your name when I show the screenshot of my game. Many thanks.

Is there anyway I can use a plugin in command to turn it on or off during game play? I only want to use this for my opening cut scene.

From the plugin's help:

$gameSystem.vnChoices = status; // status can be true or false

You can use this script call. To disable it for example:

$gameSystem.vnChoices = false;

In the demo it also has an example of disabling it...

Sorry, that's my fault! Thanks. I read through through the script and didn't see it. Thanks!

Having an issue with this in MV 1.5, basically when a choice opens the choice backgrounds don't show until the player presses a button. Simply pressing an arrow makes them appear but they won't appear until I do.

Was stressing about this plugin earlier, but pretty happy with how its looking now! Purple makes it pop more too!! :)
A friend requested me to do a pfp for his twitch channel, so far he approved one of my sketches, so going to digital now. The style he's looking for is quite different from my usual, hopefully I can get it right... :kaoback:
