Maybe I do something wrong, but the link, that is in the first message of the topic, leads to your site and shows me the 1.5 version. This version was released in 2016. Is it possible that the link hasn't been updated yet?

No, version 1.5 is the latest version.
I was asking if you had the latest version which is that one. Because you are describing an issue that happened after an update with an older version than that.

I have the same problem as the pard81 has.
Having an issue with this in MV 1.5, basically when a choice opens the choice backgrounds don't show until the player presses a button. Simply pressing an arrow makes them appear but they won't appear until I do.
I downloaded the 1.5 version today from your site. But I still have the same issue. This plugin can't work properly on last MV update.

I cannot replicate your issue in my updated project. I suggest testing for plugin conflict perhaps?

A quick way might be to update the MV files in my downloadable demo and see if the issue occurs using the demo as it has no other plugins. This is what I did and I cannot see the issue happening

@Galv - Yup the latest version 1.5, I'll have a look through maybe its some issue with upgrading my project. If I use my mv1.4.1 there is no issue at all. I'm having a couple of other little graphical issues with 1.5 with no plugins so I'll keep looking in to it.

same here - all was ok with previous version of rmmv but after upgrading it to 1.5 this problem pops up.
I temporary fix this problem by using TDDP PreloadManager and preload background image directly before show choice (dont work if i preload image on map load or even if i use preload directly in Window_ChoiceList.prototype.start).

One more thing - if i upgrade your demo to rmmv1.5 all work fine, but i am use a lot of plugins that use graphic and i asume thet this proble got something to do with new memory hendling thet was implemented in rmmv 1.5 (preload manager almost useless now to)

There is already code in this plugin to preload the graphic and it works fine in MV 1.5 as far as my tests can see (and you yourself testing the demo said works fine also...)
This is why I suggested it could be plugin conflict and if so you guys need to find the problem by doing tests.

I'm running into an issue when I use this with Yanflys message core and use the font size command. For example all my choices use
\fs[40] at the beginning since the font I'm using is tiny otherwise.

When used in conjunction with VNC, the first using the\FS command (and only the first) choice is off-center. The subsequent choices are centered OK. Just the text, the buttons are positioned OK.

So if all three commands have \FS, the first one is off-center. If the second 2 options use \FS, the second option is off-center.

I have tired positioning the plugins in different orders, but no dice.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a compatibility issue I will have to look into one day when I get time.

@Galv , thanks, I know time is limited so I wouldn't worry too about it.

I just ran into the issue someone else mentioned about the buttons not showing up until a user moves the cursor around. Not sure what I changed that initiated this issue.(too many to keep track of) The plugin order hasn't changed, nor have the plugins active. Has to be a setting that changed. I assume with message core since its the main thing I've tinkered with today.

@Galv - Could the problem be only in projects that were started in 1.4.1 and updated to 1.5? Turning off all my plugins except Visual Novel Choices still doesn't fix this.

That doesn't sound like it should happen unless something went wrong updating.

Unfortunately I cannot replicate this and I need to be able to do so in order to fix it. :(

Ah right. I'll try uninstalling and re-installing MV.

Hi, I got an issue using this plugin on RPGMV 1.4, put the plugin at the top of my list, put the vnbuttons.png into img/system, and yet I got this everytime I test my game with this plugin ON :


Any ideas what might causing this ? Thanks !

Don't worry I did everyting on the link, I am experienced at setting up plugins together, I think there might be an incompability somewhere, as the plugin was working on my less advanced project some months ago.

Here my list of plugins :


Guess it's a lost battle.

Still not working after disabling all the plugins excepted this one :(
Is last version compatible with RPGMV 1.4, does it need some others ressources that I might have changed/deleted outside of the plugin file and the .png ? Thanks.
