my games keep having this error failed to lode img/animation or charcters or sound or somthing/ name format png oog ckc dmv waht ever the format is. this is going on in 98 % of my projects only a few dont have it yet. i dont use custom scripts i do use the boss add on and one game has a custom boss i made in gimp. some of these projects are proof of concept ideas that i plabe to sell to major game devolpers. any ideasupload_2017-3-20_5-45-18.png

one of my projects this happens when the player try to enter the hero guild to get the ok to help with the demonic dungoen in the town all the other errors are same just the names are different any ides

That sounds like your img folder isn't being populated properly. Is the file actually there in the folder itself?

Looks like your RTP files were most likely deleted. Create a completely new project and see if the files appear in that project (they probably will). Copy them over to the correct locations, one folder at a time. If the files weren't in the new project, there's something wrong with the way that your program is creating clean projects. Back up your current game folders to a safe place, then remove RPG Maker MV from your computer, and reinstall it. In the future, your new projects won't have this problem, and you can copy the files from a new project in this freshly-installed version to your old games that are missing files.

I'm also going to give you some unsolicited advice. You are not going to sell your game ideas to major game developers. You are not going to be able to sell your game to major game developers, or indie game developers, or even to many customers. It's okay to dream big. I had these big dreams too when I was young. I didn't get anywhere at all with it until I spent years developing my craft and then additional years creating my projects.

Making a game that's worth selling means making something that players will buy instead of the tens of thousands of other good games out there - which requires sharp writing, sophisticated understanding of game mechanics, extreme technical proficiency, appealing artwork, and good marketing, among other things.

It also requires two other things - you have to offer something that is unique and great ("demonic dungoen in the town" usually doesn't cut it), and you have to be willing to put every last ounce of grit, patience, and tenacity in your body into getting things done right. If you run into a technical glitch like this one, you should try everything you can think of, Google everything you can't think of, and if you need to ask for help, make sure that you are VERY, very exact about what's going wrong. "waht ever the format is" and "failed to lode charcters or sound or somthing" are really lazy explanations that don't give you the best chance to solve your problem. If you can't go all-out to make sure that every little detail is right, commercial game design is not the right place for you.

It's perfectly okay to do just do this as a hobby and make the game you want to make, show it to your friends, and never worry about all the stress of going commercial. It's also great to make your first game (no one's first game is ever as great as they dreamed it would be), take what you learned in that experience to build your second (better) game, and progress to the point where your stuff is worth buying, with your dream front and center the whole time. I'm not trying to blow up your dreams and I'm certainly not trying to put you down as a person (you're probably a wonderful person). I'm trying to give you a realistic view of what you need to start doing, because I really wish I had someone to give that to me earlier on.

I had a similar issue using RPG Maker from a network storage location. If your files are not already try moving them all to your local hard drive.

have tried thise things surjested and still the same error and in one game it says missing flame i have no flame on the map you are going to so waht id with that one

I came up with a plugin to disable the error message. No need to crash the game if you aren't using the !flame.

That base64 is a PNG that just dummies as the missing image in case it turns up somewhere. It looks like this (I purposely removed my !flame1.png for this example)

I suspect the error is caused by a problem in the filepath of your project - can you please give us the full path, beginning with the driveletter (usually c:) to the file in the project directory?
