Game in Android black screen and crash after 20 min play

Hello. We have a long game, but not loaded at all in maps of objects.


My friend in Moto G played the intro and crashed after 2 min.


I play in S7 Edge and crash after 20 min aprox.


First music continues, and sound effects, but black screen. Seconds after, app Crash.


I think is about a RAM leak or something else. Game is 20 hours + long. But with this issue cannot publish in Android :(

You didn't give us much info to go on - from the few hints you gave I would simply assume that your project is too big for a mobile.


Yes, MV can deploy to mobile (and a lot of working mobile ports proves that this has no general bugs), but that doesn't give a mobile the same resources to run the game on as there are available on a desktop PC. Which means that you need to prepare your project for mobile deployment by carefully selecting what and what not to include.


How big are your usual maps? did you use regular maps (should be) or parallaxed maps (bad for mobile deployment)? Have you added many plugins, especially plugins with graphical effects? How big is your project on a PC? can you play it without crashes on a desktop?

1. Regular maps, some taken from sample maps included in RPG Maker VX Ace.


2. In PC all game is 60fps, any crash.


3. One of the big map is 50 x 35. 


4. Game is 600mb, but music and video files. Without them is less than 200mb.


5. Yes plugins, but only Yanfly, difficulty, cursor, etc. No one for graphical effects.


I need ideas for debugging when playing in Android and see if is RAM or if it gives some error I haven't seen.

Video: what screensize are those videos and what screensize does your mobile work with? all RMs have problems if a video size is larger than the screen size, and the android deployment may change/lower the screensize compared to desktop (never checked that as I don't even own a mobile with game capacity).


Also, can you make a backup where you remove most of the music and video (replace them by simple audio or text messages) and test if the same happens with a deployment on that reduced base?

Hi, after testing a lot and compilating with 1.5.1 version of RPG Maker MV there are still problems with all devices including high-end devices with 4GB RAM. Is there any form to make a real time debug or monitoring of system resources?

I will show you a screenshot of the last gaming test bug.
