I just made this image for my game, a flashback that the main character has of a costume party. I don't know if I should use it or not however, mostly because of quality control.
If you would be so kind, please tell me if I should keep it... or delete it.
The maps in Effervesce Fallacy™ are condensed, and full of action! This was a game design decision made early in development to eliminate unnecessary padding that is present in a lot of RPGs and to enhance the experience on touch screen devices by not having any screen scrolling present. A lot of care went into the maps, such as consistency, and intelligent restriction of player movement.
We've experimented with larger, and more natural-looking maps, but they lacked the charm of the classic games that we're familiar with.

Haven't uploaded anything here in a while. Here's some shots from a city I've worked on a bit. Not finished yet. I think other city areas will be other mapped zones.
@Stapleton ooh I love the layering here! It looks so pretty! Edit:
Moreover the HUD you've implemented it quite refined. This is really good work. Quite inspiring!
EDIT#2: @Stapleton@alice_gristle Thank you for your comments. I lowered the fog down and it looks much better now.
@Mr. Detective, looks nice and airy! I always like the lone tree at the top, too! On the whole looks a bit too sculpted tho, don't you think? Like it's a bunch of clean rectangles piled on top of each other? Could you break the clean lines up a bit to make it look more organic and natural?
This made me laugh, I finally solved the mystery of the missing puzzle pieces.... Only to create the mystery of the space trees. Still it looked pretty cool in an odd sort of way, so I figured I'd share.
in Grim Trigger episodes 3 & 4, the main characters play a Clue rip-off board game called "My Beating Mystery" (haha), so of course I had to draw the board for it. Can't decide if I wanna add blood or not
Jeez...
I finally decide, after several ppl asking me to, to create a gamethread about project M... And my internet craps out on me halfway through the process
making my first game is like trying to stuff all my experience with old games into one
so its slow and painful when i dont get it right... i bet the next game is gonna be finished earlier!
