Please read and abide by these rules before posting and or commenting:

1. In-game screenshots, maps and videos of gameplay are all welcome. Trailers are also welcome. Walkthroughs and Let's Plays are not.

2. Please consider putting the image in spoiler tags if it's any larger than 700x500. Ditto if you're posting a lot of images.

EDIT: The game is for RSW, not the trailer

Latest map in development from the Tales of Medea game I am working on. This is the Library area from the fortress section of the game. Still need to add events and monsters to this area. I was thinking of adding ghost-like monsters and/or sorcerers etc

Don't miss my video this time, guys. I was upset that people ignored it. :(

Got lazy and didn't want to copy and paste the printscreen over and over again. I should've added a tint, but this is me testing out a tileset. I want some feedback before I do an entire town with it :o (I also probably shouldn't have had that extra character following me either. xD) The tileset was put together and was meant for a forest village. None of the graphics are mine. I also did just notice that the stairs should be the same shade as the flooring. I will fix that later xD.

To be perfectly honest, I think there is a little too much green in the entire tileset.. it needs something to make it less monotonous. The stairs are fine the way they are.. having a bit of contrast with the wood floor is a good thing.. but yeh.. maybe get some different rugs or something.. maybe a different coloured bedsheets or something.. too much green and is boring to the eyes. The mapping itself was fine.. just too much green.

That depends. A lot of green can be a good thing if you are going for a nature/foresty feeling. In that case, I'd say: it looks awesome. It all depends on the context.

I agree, too much green, it needs something to change to tone as well as the colour.  The browns are also very similar in hue/tone, so that the end result is visually a bit flat.

I assume that being able to walk across the tops of the wall tiles is something that you will be fixing.

@ksjp There is a glitch in the playtest if you press the ctrl key you can walk through everything. I exploit it to it's fullest when playtesting. xD

I actually didn't think the green looked all that bad, since the entire village was based around greens, browns, and blues. I'd bet blue or pink would look fine with the walls though if I were to change the color.

Edit 3:05 PM: Redoing the tileset now. Should look a little less bland when I'm done!

@rimmintine if it's a glitch, it has been in rpg maker since rmxp, so I don't believe it is glitch. Otherwise, the only part of your map I didn't like was the walls. I know of cabins or houses in heavily wooded areas use wooden walls or logs as walls, but just my opinion.

That character is very blurry and it's clear you just increased size of a smaller sprite. The quality has suffered a lot because of this.

You mean mine? Yes. I will change the character anyway and must work on this one you could see on the screenshot too.

He doesn´t seem to fit into the scene. That´s right also. But this is a part of the story with another character. :)

Please never mind the character. That´s another topic.

I don't believe it's because there's so much green. I think it gives the house a nice nature looking theme and the music in the background backs that up. There are however a few problems that I have with it.

As soon as you enter this room, what seems to be a massive bath tub blocks the players way. I think it'd look nicer tucked in the corner.

This long corridor is nothing but rug; there's no decorations to the side which effectively causes the green rug to be the main subject of the room. I'd add some plants perhaps sticking up from the bottom or even some small tables with lights on them around the top.

The shape of this rug fits too perfectly in. Just like what you did to the rug ^, I'd tuck it in with so the walls overlay the borders of the rug.

@Lustermx. I only made 3 mistakes? That's a new record. BTW, I switched to a different tileset. It's so vague because I'm working on it at the moment. xD

Whoa, there are a lot of ignored screens. That sucks. :/

@Clord: I like it! It could use a bit more detail and clutter around the grass area, though.

@LusterMX: I actually really wanna play your game now. :p The trailer does a nice job of showing of various features.

You might wanna mute the BGM though, I could still hear it over the main trailer music.

@RPG-Baze: The carpet looks really off. Perhaps you could make the whole area carpet? And the stairs(?) near the water

don't really look as if it's going into the water, if that was your intention. As said, the character is really blurry, but you said you'd fix it. ;)

@Fishface: Lovin' it~

@Rose wala Leo: If there's one thing I could say, it's maybe brighten it all up juuuust a bit. It's a little too dark for my tastes.

Anyway, here's a WIP screenshot of my soon to be completed game for RSW.

I'm gonna add a picture for the emeralds.

@RPG-Blaze: Carpets are square or rectangular. They do not perform magic tricks. You could probably use shift mapping to make the water look a lot better, too. Holding shift while placing an auto-tile will show the middle tile. You can then click around it to show certain edges. You can also hold Shift when picking a tile from the map (right-mouse click) and then paste that exact copy of the tile elsewhere by holding shift and left-mouse clicking. Do a bit of testing to get the hang of it and you'll be a pro at it in no time.

@Clord: I'm a really big un-fan of using the water tile in that way, especially in conjunction with the bridge structure. I'll let you in on a little secret. If you use the second water tile you can make small cliff areas under the water. Make the edges one tile high, then use the tile I'll add in the spoiler (it's a colour-matching, underwater structure just for those bridge tiles) and you'll see just how much better it will look. For one, it gives depth~

The one on the left is for the bridge tiles you're using in that screenshot. The one on the right matches the colour scheme of the bridges that are usually above the structure.

An example of how it looks in-game.
