@Lurota The problem that I can see is that the lights are placed too high above the windows, which makes it look like they're coming from the walls rather than through the windows. Also, get that gentleman off of the counter! ;3

iLurota, aside from the above mentioned light being too high, it is also offset to the right a bit too far. Look at a window in your home with sunlight streaming in. You'll notice that that the light doesn't strongly catch the side of the wall that it is attached to. =)

@Luchino Wow! That certainly is impressive :) However, i'm not really sure that I like the windows on the building. But that's just my opinion :)

That is still progress... I made something that is part of the game and is part of the whole plan... Plus it made me learn a lot about how things go in menus so I can now modify the other things to my liking... Like menu edits that have more effect in gameplay...

You see it fits even two meanings for the word progress, so now tell me that it isn't progress...
Oh, I agree that it is technically progress, as it needs to be done eventually, but in reality it's more like pseudoprogress i.e. a way to convince yourself or others that you're working on your game, without working on the game part, so that's how it isn't progress. Rather than fancy logos or titlescreens, I just think it's better and more productive to focus on gameplay and maps, as per the purpose of this thread.

title screen is a part of the game...

maybe you're talking about gameplay?

anyway, as I said, this title editing part is actually a prerequisite for me since it involves learning knowledge that I need in order to implement my plans for parts that have more direct impact into the gameplay itself... so without it, the gameplay cannot progress too...

and as I posted on that comment too, I am working on the maps...

@Luchino and Ethaion: How do you get those amazing lighting effects? I WANTS! Those maps both are amazing. Absolutely gorgeous. Great work

Are those the standard RTP tiles too? They look...different somehow.

In Ethanion's map, they are RTP... from RMXP, just reworked into Ace format. Apart from the trees, I can't remember who made them :/

Luchino uses a mix of Mack tiles and VX RTP

Just to say that a high percentage of Hanzo Kimura's tilesets are just XP edits and recolours.

@ksjp17 Yeah lol after researching a bit looks like most of them are xD... However Hanzo's trees are apparently remakes of someone elses trees.

Bridge and some of the flowers are from Mack

As well as remakes of Benben's trees, he also used at least one by [SIZE=12pt]Alisa-Tana [/SIZE]

You also have the same lush grass as your walk way growing underwater, there should actually be silt deposits :p

Gorlami: It depends on what kinda feel you're going for. This one screams sci-fi to me. I like how the text sort of mirrors the outline of the character. I'm not sure whether that was intentional. Also, I feel like the font is too small--it makes it seem as if what the character is saying isn't that important.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
