cool... and hong konger, quite near (I'm from PH)...

The land seems to be elevated (is that intentional?)

the grass seems so close to the sand (is that sand?)

IDK, it's just weird to see so many houses lined up that near to the sea... XD

The land seems to be elevated ? Whats that mean ?

The grass is so close to the sand ? Ok I will try to get rid of that.

Yeah I think its weird too LOL.

look at the land and water border, the land seems to be elevated (at a somehow too high level)...

I think it's because you used the 5th tile in the 2nd row, which as you can see clearly, has the water a bit lower than a wall...

it's not really wrong though... but I think having a few areas that actually somehow "touch" the water looks nicer...

Haha I did that intentionally. I think I should make it lower.

then that's fine... it's the look you wanna show anyway...

EDIT: actually make the pier lower, or the whole ground borders higher... because right now, the pier is about two walls high (the lowest part seems to be 1 wall high) but the land borders are just about half-tile high... as the ground seems to be connected flatly to the pier, they should have the same height...

I considered that while drawing the map. Perhaps its just because I am a newbie of mapping so I neglect the height issue.

it's either you adjust heights, or add some kinda of elevation separator like a stair or something...

Another suggestion - though I accept it is in part personal preference maybe.  I personally don't think that 2 tile high houses 'work' when the roof is only one tile high.  The proportions seem all wrong.  I would suggest making all the roofs 2 tiles as well.

@ WNxTyr4el: the biggest issue I have with your screen is the one-tile wide house. That... doesn't make any sense what-so-ever. Evan accounting 3 tiles to 1 on the inside, that would be abysmally tiny. At least make it two or three tiles wide so that there's actually room inside the house, okay? Otherwise, you've improved quite a bit from what I've seen. Keep doing so! You're on a roll~

I too don't really like the saturation of those tiles, but that's not really an issue at all, as any issues anyone has with brightness etc, can easily be touched upon in paint.net, gimp, or Photoshop, before use.

As always, the art is really strong. Besides modern tiles are always awesome. It's really hard to find good non-fantasy resources that don't venture into sci-fi or steam-punk, so that's a really great contribution to the community.

Lower the saturation, and make a nice overlay, and those tiles would be perfect for use in more sombre projects as well.

@Ksi: Sorry but which one is one tile wide? I was pretty sure they were all at least 3-4 lol. I could be wrong. Unless you're talking about the inside of the house? If so then I had them larger before lol. But too many people kept commenting that there was too much open space inside so I shrunk them down. Can't make everyone happy I guess

@WNx: Ksi is talking about the roof of your house. It looks really weird being one-tile high.
