I need some help with eventing.





For some reason, the two NPCs on the bottom right won't move to where I set them to. They won't budge, and I can't see them from where the player is. The event always freeze when the game gets to this point. It works before, but after I made the map smaller, this happened. Any ideas why? :(

@Shin That font is just... bad.

This is not the place to ask... but anyways, probably it has moves that cannot proceed due to blocked/unpassable tiles, and the move route isn't set to skip undoable movements

@Goatrider: I looooove the concept! And holy crap that map is made of pretty. The only thing is that the mushrooms clash with the style of the rest of the map. They should be more realistic to fit better - still huge, but less cartoony. If you were going for clashing to emphasize the weirdness of the dimension, well...To me, it doesn't look intentional, because everything else matches. It just looks like you couldn't find the right sprite. So if it WAS intentional, make a few other things not match as well. Maybe add some weird trees or something.


Also, HHNNNNNGGGH YOUR FOG.


Is this (the whole map, not just the fog) a parallax? It's got to be a parallax. Please tell me it is. If not, and this was done in the editor, I may have to kill myself.

Thanks for the feedback. I am going for a sort of quirky effect here, hence the mushrooms. I guess I should add some more weirdness to complement the mushrooms. And yes, this entire map is parallaxed, no editor mapping what so ever.

I love your map. The details are amazing. I especially like those little bolts and sprockets on the trees.

I made three screenshots for a contest. Anyway, the contest is now over and I thought I would share them with you. So those are not from an actual game. I tried mixing and matching different tilesets, no standard rtp involved. Mostly Coming of Age tileset, Mack, Soruve (recolored castle), Indrah and Lunarea (and Celiannas cliffs, recolored). I discovered Lunarea's tiles especially mix well with Coming of Age tileset.

Feedback highly appreciated ^^

thank goodness for that, because otherwise, like Gamma Vector, I might have to shoot myself.

As it is parallaxed, could I suggest that in fact you tweak the fog a bit more?  It follows the contour of the cliff just a bit too exactly to my eye, and perhaps needs to be a tad thicker on top of the lower tree, as it obscures the cliff tiles significantly more than the tree tiles, making it look just a bit like a scarf/border.

Me, I don't mind the mushrooms.

I think possibly a help query in the XP forum might get you the best answers, rather than here.  

But a quick suggestion - have you set the passability of your ladder to star by any chance?
I have no idea what you mean: passability of your ladder ?

Is there something I do not see?

I wonder is there a hidden thing behind my ladder?

For I have no idea what wrong I did with that ladder.

I found one problem with it.

So I just moved one step down and the problem was solved.

Got a title for my zero-drive-sideproject

Funfact: The Main title is an anagram of the acronym of the subtitle. Yay :rock-right:

The game tells the story of Lucy, a young pirate who was thrown overboard of his ship and rescued by ninjas who trained him in their hidden village. He later died defending said village from a zombie attack and was then trained by death gods, only to be brought back to live by a scientist who had to replace some of his vital organs with robot parts.
Oh, and of course there will be heroins with balloon sized boobs and censored tentacle rape too.

Release: Hopefully never. Hopefully.

Thanks for all the compliments. At the moment I'm not planning on making a game with this. That would be a bit too ambitious for me since I'm still trying to get familiar with everything rpg maker ace has to offer and I'm not good enough (yet) to make interesting, engaging battles (why are there so few tutorials for battles?). Maybe after I did a few small projects (currently working on one) I will try myself at a bigger rpg with this tileset style. I quite like it ^^

I like the organization of the menu, but I'm not so sure about the font. It looks very light and comical. If that's the effect you are going for, fine :)

This is a map set in Cyberspace. It feels a little lacking, though. Any suggestions? :|



I could add more NPCs walking around, but not sure what else is appropriate with the setting.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
