@ Ikari

I like the map and the dialogue.  What I'm not convinced by is the lighting.  It looks like sun rays falling across the whole screen, so cannot be the light coming in from the windows, as it starts (and is brightest) to the left of your first window.  For an interior map that, imo, just doesn't work.

So I created a Crypt as one of the 1st dungeons and I am just having issues decorating it. It just seems so bland and boring. I have a screen shot that I will upload. I am just looking for some Ideas to make it look better and more crypt like. I am thinking of adding tint when you enter to make it a bit darker and some torches on the wall. Basically this crypt is located in town that was destroyed by a mage centuries ago. The Crypt is underground so I am not sure if there should be damage done to it (Cracks, rubble broken pillars ect). It might be kind of small so I apologize in advance if it is. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Messing with some edits to see if they work for me. Not sure if the walls are too dark, but then again, I was aiming for a bit darker anyway...

Don't want to make them to dark, if you do and the person using them decides to tint the screen, then they can't be seen.

I'm using them. It's for my own game. And any tint will be relatively light. This lot is fairly simplistic edits so I won't be releasing them. ^.^



That's about as dark as I'd go. Maybe a little more for 'darkest' areas.

@Ksi, this is more of a personal quirk so you don't have to go with this suggestion but the auto shadows on the upper walls, I would back them up by 1 to give the shadows more of a realistic feel. ^^

Thanks, but I'll be killing them once I grab that kill shadow script I have floating around. They're just there for the moment... waiting, watching, praying for a deliverance that will never come. :DDD

That said, my own personal preference is to keep them like that. If I weren't gonna kill 'em they'd probably stay that way. ;p

On the brown cave tiles, I think I would darken the ceiling tile just a tad more.  I think it's too light with those walls, and also is a bit too close to the colour of the floor.  I'm undecided about whether you should try the same on the green tiles.

Thanks, I'll check out how that looks. (the green version is just a tint ;p )



Ended up keeping darker roofing and messed with other parts of the set. Just minor bits, nothing worth sharing.

This is a good looking map and the tint is nice. I'm not fond of the sun rays but that's subjective.

As for the autumn side, maybe you could add a few fallen leaves on the ground?

I like the lavish, tropical style of the world map.  But hiromu656 is right --- an island usually isn't a perfect square, unless there is a very good in-universe reason (i.e. the island is artificial).

That's a very nice autumn map.
