@ DMI Maker has to protect itself there's a lot of content that becomes "questionable" don't need Phoenix Wright coming in suing the crap out of Maker shouting OBJECTION!!! or HOLD IT!!! The fact we have to be "reminded" about it says it all how protective of their content (artists what not even with permission) it is...even if it is overkill, it's the bane of Indie base games from what I've seen.  Free or not.  But that's pure observation and my $0.02

@anybody using the new Celianna tiles~

I love it *____* would totally use those tiles if they meshed with the style.

Great maps, the town from the last page as well as these. The autoshadows are pretty questionable though. I would suggest trying out parallax mapping and using custom shadows, but if it's too much work for the timeframe then I wouldn't sweat it. They look great.

Checking out the new tilesets for YANTH overworld~ map isn't finished so just cut it off to one section and resized.

Tech Demo #1

 

This demo displays the most recent progress with Womb to Tomb, additions are as listed:

 

- HUD display

- Menu, Item, Save and System Options

- Jump

- Attack (4 directions) 

- Attack does damage to enemy

- Enemy player detection

- Recharge items with animation (heart over head)

- Gameover rework 

- Windows skin updated

- save/load feature

@DMIgames: When i started seeing the video at first, i thought it was a weird game with some interesting graphics going on, then came the fart noises and now i must play it!

Phew.  And after another 5 hours of work, another map is done.  One more to go until I can finally put the whole demo together and put it up for folks to actually play.

I like it, looks really cool.

On the one you posted earlier today, I think the gas station itself looks good, but the sign at the road looks way too clean by comparison, I would dirty it up and maybe put some wear on it too, like the building. And give it a top so it doesn't look paper thin. All in all, the sign is messing with what is otherwise very good scenery.

Edit: And, where are the gas pumps? Or just a single pump for gas and service station.

@firgof: you're screenshots look really scary. In a good way ;)

The sign at the gasstation has the wrong perspective. Just like the roof you will see a bit of the top of the sign. And the posts that hold the sign, look a bit undefined and bright.

And I agree with ralpf, the sign looks very clean. I would at least darken the box it rests on. Gas pump would be nice.

Guess the sign needs some more work, then!

And yeah, I'm aware there are no pumps outside.  That's a part of that scene, actually, and equally confuses the protagonist.

@gRaViJa hahaha glad you like the farts :p yea it's a lot of fun to make, mostly hilarious but some of the eventing can take a while to polish. 

@firgof looking good :) curious, how are you creating the light sources? by script call?

@DMI: They're all painted.  These are painted overlays which go on top of the maps.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
