@Heimond: I like how you use colors, but I wonder how the game is played. It looks like it's a first-person view, which is quite uncommon in RPG Maker games. Do you plan to release a demo soon? I'd love to try it.

Me, too. I like the look, but I'm having a hard time imagining how you play this or what you are doing in this game. Give us a demo (or a project thread?)

It's quite likely a first person view, but it's not a 3D game. if you guys ever played a adventurer game from LucasArts you might know how it works.

I implemented dynamic and automatic item highlighting and tooltip support for when items are mentioned in text windows. While in this screen it only shows you the item's stats, I will also make it show how many of the item you have and where you can buy it (if you've discovered it), and other useful things like that.

I'm a particular fan of the Metropolis screenshot - it's provided a bit of inspiration for my own work, and for that, I sincerely thank you!

Look great! Is there going to be something in that massive expanse of wood at the top? Also (pet hate) interior auto-shadows! :p

Interesting. The thing that strikes me at the moment is the lack of windows in the main central section. You have what looks like your door events in, and that just emphasises how big and empty the walls are - and therefore how dark it is inside, and must have been even in its heyday. The windowx that you do have are nice, but I don't think they match the style of building you've designed. They are curved, Oriental in feel, whereas your buikding is not Eastern in feel at all. This might change as I know it's only a WIP.

I had some tiles made for #W2Tgame and wanted to see what you guys think, it looks different if you don't watch it in HD. 

I also animated the character graphic in the corner.

Much more appropriate windows, and now they back up your atmosphere, rather than taking away from it.

@Mister Big T

I'm not sure that having a roof which is completely out of proportion to the rest of the map is the way to solve that particular issue.  As you have no windows in that back wall, how about putting some non-accessible rooms on the other side, so that they fill the space without looking odd?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
