Candacis Thank you for the very insightful response. You've noticed everything that has been bothering me. Though (and I'd hate to make it seem like your advice isn't wanted, it is) I said a few screenshots back all the art is either placeholder or in a very early stage. I don't create the assets, I have a few artist that do. The total budget including all the details you mentioned plus loads more is just under $3,000. What you're seeing now is what has been done after $120 has been spent so it's still very early.
I will be prettying everything up with depths of snow, textures, shading, lighting, weather, and all sorts of decor near the end of development. Currently my goal is to get as much of the event work and scripting done as I can. I'm just making due with the art. Trust me it bothers me too but in order to progress at the rate I wanted I quit my day job to focus on this full time and that means I have no money. As soon as I start working a day job again I'll be putting everything I can into the art.
So thank you
so very much and I hope I can make you happy with the finished product but for now you and I will have to deal with paper looking ground and plants that don't move in the wind or snow prints as you walk through the snow.

Also that is Val's old sprite from another project I was unable to finish (too expensive) Val will be updated eventually to look like this (but with an 8 frame, 8 directional walking and running sprite)
PS: I don't want to spam here (so just check the siggy for the link) but I would appreciate if anyone could give me a moment of their time and check my ******* page and offer feedback. Apparently I'm not very good at asking for money, what does the page need to make it seem worth supporting?
Thank you all and keep up the good work!
