Hi there, I'm new on this board, but I've been playing around with the RPG Maker for a while already.

When I saw the Ancient Dungeons pack, I had to try it out with parallax mapping!

Careful, big image.

@Macbeth10 Wow, this is fantastic. The only criticism I have is that the path doesn't touch the stairs on the bottom section.

Thank you!

You're right I will fix that, must've overlooked it somehow.

@Macbeth10 Quite nice! Although, the second stairway from the bottom is a little difficult to pick out.

Ugh, that tileset is just too pretty ... I'm going to have to buy it.

@Macbeth: Truly lovely. I am fond of the painting like feeling you have in this image. ^^

@hiddenone: Nice work! I like the second one especially with all the light effects and all.  And the tileset is to be admired, no doubt. :D

I love Celianna's stuff. The prettiest ones match with the non-chibi sprites though. Which I can't use coz I dunno how to script big sprites.

Made a few changes to a previous screenshot of mine and implemented it in the engine with added weather effects (which is sadly not very visible) and moving clouds. I feel it looks a bit empty, so I might add a few tiny features here and there. Also, that Mack sprite is just a placeholder. Feedback pl0x?

Hey, so my first post, I suppose on RMW, I'm usually only on the Ace forums. =)

Anyways, so I decided to make a Modern Home not for really anything special. It plays with the perspective of things, so hopefully it doesn't look too flat or confusing to look at.

Do let me know if I should change anything. Critique is greatly Appreciated! ^^

So, I've decided to make my own maps for my game, and I've been tinkering around with making my own assets.  I just finished making a Yoshino cherry tree, and was wondering what everyone thought of it, and what I could improve on.

Thanks!

(hopefully this is the right forum, I checked the rules and it seemed to be the one I was looking for)

@Valkyriet the map looks like Whiterun, that sounds good.

@Celianna The ancient Dungeons - base pack looks gorgeous

@Izu: I think it looks nice but it's a bit dark to tell any detailed feedback. ^^; I know you're trying to reach a certain atmosphere though but I still think you should brighten it just a bit. Is that water right under the balcony of the house? If so, maybe you should use the water tiles? Right now, it looks quite sharp around the edges which doesn't look really nice. ^^

My turn to show something with Cel's new Ancient Dungeons tileset.

I tried to combine it with Cels Medieval Buildings and Pandamarus/Candacis' RTP edit/original tiles. How does it look?

@Miss Nile Ah, thank you for the Critique!

Yep, I had figured it was a bit dark, I'll be sure to lighten it up just a bit. =)

That's actually a driveway, but, now that you mention it, it's a bit hard to tell, I'll see if I can do anything about that. =D

@Zak: if you desaturate the medieval buildings a bit, they'll fit right in with the Ancient Dungeons tiles, considering the textures used in those, came from Ancient Dungeons. The other things, like the market stands and awning, really stand out like a sore thumb. I recommend lowering the brightness/lightness of those.

@Valkyriet

I remember the previous screenshot, you've made major improvements indeed (the frost effects on the bridge for example that was mentioned at that time). I only got two comments; One of the characters near the panda seems to be floating, it's a bit strange. the second is about the sewer grid on the top left. Its shadow is cast on the snow and the water. But since the water is lower than the snow, the shape of the shadow should be changed on the water. For example move it up by 3-4 pixels. (Not sure if I'm clear)

@Izu

I find the map a bit too dark; I can't see much on what happens in it. But from what I can see, it seems that the part on the right is a bit empty. Not sure what it is though.

@Zak

I can't say much against Celienna's tiles, it exceeds my abilities by far ^^ The map is very well done, just one thing a tad strange; On the right of the pathway, the cliffs seem to be somehow different and rather misplaced in terms of perspective. I don't know how to explain that, but it feels a bit odd. Maybe I'm the only one thinking of that ^^

@Rocket Knight

What do you want us to comment about your HUD ? Is it really necessary to put only the face and name of the character. Is it supposed to show something else ? What is the red part behind the character name ? Just simple design ? Because it feels like the faceset is hiding something behind.
