Please read and abide by these rules before posting and or commenting:

  1. In-game screenshots, maps and videos of gameplay are all welcome. Trailers are also welcome. Walkthroughs and Let's Plays are not. They go here.
  2. Please place your image in spoiler tags if it's any larger than 500x500. Ditto if you're posting a lot of images.
  3. Do not quote screenshots, maps or videos in this thread. If you want to comment on someone's screenshot, please refer to them by their name (@membername), or keep the image in spoiler tags.
  4. Please be civil and constructive when handing out feedback. Do not post things such as 'this sucks!'. Point out why a map doesn't look so good, and what they can do to improve it. If you want to compliment someone, point out what you think they did well.
  5. Please refrain from re-posting your work, unless you've made some edits on it since the last time you posted it. If no one has commented on your work, and it has fallen behind by at least 2 pages, feel free to repost it then. You can re-post your screenshot if you posted in the last several pages of the previous thread.
  6. Feel free to ask what tileset someone is using if you're interested, but keep off-topic chatter to a minimum.

The second one almost looks better, but it looks like it's been stretched out vertically a bit, to the point where he's taller than the door. If #2 was made a bit shorter (maybe about the same height as #1) without making the sprite wider, it'd look great in my opinion.

Merging. We have a Game & Map Screenshots thread where you can ask for feedback on aspects of your mapping.

Ooh - a brand spanking new one at that, and yours is the first screenshot. Congratulations :)

Here's a screenshot from the game that I haven't announced anything about yet. XD Still in very early stages so there's no rush, I guess:

My second parallexed map. I still prefer editor mapping, of course, but parallax is giving the look I was aiming for. :<

Thank you for the feedback, I did make it taller vertically because it looked better that way, the original was way too small. I think it's more of a case of the door being to small. I'll fix both of them :p

@nile love the moon + clouds and the tint, looks really nice

@Miss Nile

that's a nice looking map - but did you need to parallax the whole thing?  Looking at it, you could have done it in the editor and just had the moon and sky as a parallax background which would have been quicker for you.

Ah, that explains it!!  I couldn't see why those cliffs could not be done in the editor, and it seems like I was right.  If you've saved it in layers, I think it would look better if you blurred the edges of the path - at the moment they are far too sharp and regular.

Hmm, maybe add in some more details and break up the color a bit?

Awesome maps...

Been trying to see if I could use front-view battlers in a tileset made battleback, what do you think?

@RocketKnight:  Your forward facing stairs are completely unbelievable.  They go up two stories and take up less depth than a sidewalk.  Even for a ladder that'd be steep!  Zig zagged ladders would make way more sense there.

@Engr. Adiktuzmiko:  The concept is probably fine but the execution isn't working.  I think you need to get rid of the edges and map the objects with hight separately so they don't get all smooshed with the ground.

Miss Nile - So pretty! One teeny weeny thing I see is that it looks like the second sprite (blue hair?) under the ladder might be standing on a tree top? But nice work!

Rocketknight - Not bad, I'm just a little unsure what all is going on. It looks like it's several floors, but something about the perspective is off on a lot of it. Like, are those stairs supposed to access those floors? If so, I'd put little landings. Also, maybe some shadowing underneath each level to give them some depth?

QuietDreams - Looks nice! Not so sure about the very square pond at the bottom, but maybe it looks different in full?

dayhjawk - I like the style of your tiles, but the map seems really big and empty.

@Engr. - I agree with Sharm.

Okay, decided to make a downstairs to this. (Yes, went back and added stairs to that one, lol.)

I feel like I need to do something with these maps. :p

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
