@michaelmartin341 I prefer to have a very distinct difference from areas of the map you can access and areas of the map you can't. But I will certainly try your suggestion when I get the chance. And yes, the tools are plot related. :D

Looks nice, hud and all! For me the enemies seem small, but I imagine there a larger troops and larger enemies though? (They are Rats and Slimes so maybe that explains the size?)

@Nutty171 I understand. I just always hate seeing people make those big walls of trees. Maybe even just break them up a little bit even if its still all trees?

You got it! Human sized enemies are larger, and there are ones beyond that as well.

I love this screenshot! One suggestion would be to mildly blur the fogged areas to make it look like there's a bit of distance. Right now it looks like where the player is walking is only about 1 tiles up from the background. :3

@mara_vertin Celiannas are indeed wonderful! Myself I'm using the Ancient Dungeon Set on MV, love these!!
And the fog layer you have there is just amazing.

Another really huge map o.o
While it looks amazing as a whole picture I wonder how it looks like ingame.
In case, there is the possibility to zoom out with plugin help.. sumrndm's camara core I think is able to set the zoom different by default.



Here my tavern. The rtp bar woman is a placeholder.
I still need NPCs.. I'd love some with drinking animation.. any advices?


And outside the tavern.. The knight down there on his patrol.. ;o
Just thinking.. I maybe should add some trees..

@RocketKnight hey man, always loved your maps! And these are great.. I like the fire ? Is it animated ? I love all the junk etc did you make them yourself ? As I'm looking for a lot of junk tiles, will take me ages if I have to make them haha.

@Henryetha Thank you! I think it looks pretty good while playing, although the forest doesn't seem quite as dense because you don't see as many OoB (Out of Bounds) trees... As for your maps, they're almost perfect as far as I can tell. In the tavern, the cabinet with the drawers behind the bar blends in with the floor so much that it looks like the drawers are floating. And outside... Do horses have super strong legs in your world? 'Cause that tiny horse would be crushed by the guy in heavy armor. :p

@michaelmartin341 Thank you! I'll tell you a secret: I actually just made a bunch of trees for a 17x13 area and then tiled it and cleaned up around the edges. It was still tedious, but much, much easier than placing all the trees individually.

@Henryetha the drawers look do like they are on the floor. I didn't even notice that at first though. Very nice mapping

@Henryetha While I think you've done a beautiful job mapping, everything seems huge and spacious to me. In the tavern I would move the tables closer together, so there was just enough space to walk between and reduce the overall size of the room. In the exterior map, I'd move the left upper building to the right 2-3 tiles and the whole lower map up 2-3 as well.

It looks beautiful, but you have to keep in mind the practicality of walking all the empty space. Over time, if every map is like this, it will take a ton of extra time just getting from one place to the next.

@Henryetha I like your maps very much. I too think they should be a little smaller though. For the character sprites: Takenflyght did some MV behavior (drinking) sprites. :)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
