Yeah I was told to give that a shot! I'll have to try it out and see how that looks.

A teaser to my upcoming entry in a contest. Credits to Mack, Khas, Celianna and Lunarea.

It's my first time to do parallax mapping, so I hope you guys like it.

Watermark will be removed when my logo is finalized. (Yeah, Reisen, I still can't decide about the color, lol)

I'd like some feedback on some of my mapping:

Warning: There are some fairly large pics

This is the lower area of the same map. The bridge to the right you see is meant to transfer the player to a new, mountainous map. The bridge above the player there can be walked under, and through an event near the bridge from the other side, I make it where the player walks on top of it, and prevents the player from walking down when they're not supposed to be able to

This depicts the majority of a map of mine, named Verdant Catacombs. Desgined to be a gloomy forest covered with fungus, but has some remnants of greenery (hence the trees)... I'm beginning to think I should remove those trees though...

@Chaos17 - those tiles are gorgeous. The perspective seems a little weird though, I dunno what's knocking it off for me.

Here's a wee scene I just mapped from a campsite in the misty forest I've been mapping for months.

@Chaos17: the lighting looks really nice! I recommend ditching the lilypads, as they have a different perspective (I don't know why they made it that way) then the tree stumps; so it's throwing me off a bit. You should also consider adding a fine white line at the edge where the water meets the wood; water reflects the most at the edges. Right now it kinda looks like the tree stumps are floating.

I like it a lot however, the carpet behind the desk looks slightly out of place, change the pattern and keep the border as it touches the wall.

Also, in the top left part of the map, there's a different looking wall, could you explain what it is? It also looks out of place haha.

Simply enough, I like it. I can't fault it, and the mist's perfect!

@Sam: it's a carpet, but it looks like a wall since itsacezon didn't stretch the wall shadow over it

Oh right, I've been sitting here for about an hour trying to work out whether it was a mistake or something. Oh well haha.

It's a carpet for a door. Sorry the door wasn't caught in the shot.

@chaos17 - Looks great, especially after @Celianna's quick edit with the water lines

@Quigon - only thing throwing me off is the random papers under the crates. I can get used to it though :) Other than that awesome job.

Been playing around with ships, I really want to find a way to make ships work in game for some awesome swashbuckling sea battles.

Not bad, however the direction of the sails are off. It appears that the boats would move sideways.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
