@Lunarea: I like it so far! The only thing I'm not entirely sold on is the view outside the windows. They are the same format of stars (if my assumption that they are the night sky is correct) and it's really noticeable. Also the two-people dining tables look off because the chairs aren't really lining up to them. Otherwise, I am loving all the details you manage to cram into your tilesets. The kitchen = <3 <3

The windows are actually animated. I just happened to catch them all in the same position. I'll have to adjust that. XD

I will fix the chairs, though. Thanks~ <3

Then I love the windows even more if they're animated! Was I right in that they're stars or is it like snow is falling? :o

@Lunarea - I like it! I would maybe add some carpet? I dunno, the floor kinda hurts my eyes a little, might just be me. I really like the kitchen, and the windows look really cool!

I acquired Ace and made the first tiled map I've made in about two years, lulz. Think I might've forgotten how to do it...

As for the game, all I have to say is 'meh,' and then babble on about a sideproject that I'm doing when Blood Shard's databasing is getting a bit much ;)

@Lunarea - I'm with Quigon! The tiled floor was cute, but didn't work for that particular map, for me. The wooden floor is much better. :) And I too love the windows. I would love to see a gif or a video of them in action.

@quigon: I like the snow map! It's chaotic enough not to be stiff, BUT! It's strange that there is no intuitive road the the castle (if that's what it is) to...wherever. down I suppose. If the road is supposed to be that, planting a tent smack in the middle of it seems off (and such a big castle gate wouls seem to merit a wide-ish road, I think.

@Lunarea: I loves it <3 The only thing that seems strange is the flower bottle spams all over the map (the one besides a chais is specially wtf). Also the two chandeliers (or light sources, whatver they are) attached to the window on the right look...off. You already hace a ceiling chandelier right there, why add more light sources? And if I'm not wrong, those are attached to WALLS, making the perspective a bit wonky when attaching them to a frontal surface like the window.

@Amrod: Overall nice. Design is good, but you have way too much empty space overall, specially in hallways. SInce the floor tiles don't change much, this shows up a lot (especially in th first screenshot). If an area has nothing to decorate, simply cut it short. Better than it looking empty.

Besdes the first screen (with the extremely empty hallway) the rest look fine. Not stellar (they're very absic and have next to no decoration or little details) but correct. You get too much repetition of the same tile (too many water basins in the second screenshot, for example) and when it's a piece of furniture that's not "common" (such as the basin) It shows up a lot, like if you repeated a water well seven times in a village (it would look weird).

@Lunarea: The woodern floors look much better, not too sure about the green carpet though, maybe needs a hard border around it. Those windows look great!

Working on a scene where Karn is about to be executed....

Not the full scene, lol, just trying to capture the atmosphere... I'll upload the rest of the scene soon.

Thanks.

@AK47: Is that a ghost coming in through the window? It doesn't really look like moon beams to me (maybe tone it down a little bit?). Also the arm on his sprite is really short.

Just a few screens featuring the new artwork in Enelysion.

Cillian, my 'uppity redhead'. His personality is in stark contrast to the confident, impulsive Siglud. Ronove did a wonderful job with his dour expression. ^^

Don't forget to edit his lines. I know I sent them to you far too light, but it should be an easy fix (just take the layer with the lines on it, and bring the brightness all the way down (you might have to bring the contrast all the way up too)). :) Looking good so far though! :D

Lunarea, where did that grandfather clock come from? I thought I must have had it in my compiled resources, but I can't find it! D:

First proper map of my new side project, Shimmering Falls! It's a jail cell that's been built into the side of a mountain. Experimenting with the style of mapping here, not sure about the trees in the foreground.

I also have my title screen here.

The trees in the foreground don't quite work for me. I like what you're trying to do with them, but it seems off somehow.. Other than that, I'm loving the atmosphere. :3

@Luchino-chan: The portraits themselves are nice, but they are huge! For me, it's very distracting. Maybe you can make them a little smaller

@Quigon: Nice map, though they might be able to escape, climbing down the trees. :) If it's the edge of the mountain, maybe you can show this on the map more clearly.

Still working on menus. Amazing how time consuming this is when you have to build the entire menu logic more or less from scratch.

Yeah, it's that bad. I had to make a Menu category under materials, my scripts were getting too crowded, lol.
Still, I like how it's turning out. Just finished an early version of the level-up menu:

Classes that are greyed out are ones you don't meet the requirements for yet

Skills in yellow are class skills of the class you're currently leveling. I'm leveling a rogue, so of course I CAN HAS ALL OF THE SKILLS?!

The black bar on the bottom is supposed to display the controls. Just haven't gotten to that because I haven't found button icons I'm happy with yet. And I still have no idea how I'm going to display all the text I need in the description windows without any of it getting cut-off like that.

I'll have to think of something on that later.

Edit: So I've just started working on character creation, and I'd like some opinions on the menu layout. When you start the game, you'll be creating a party of 5 characters. I can either display that horizontally, like this:

or vertically, like this:

Pros and cons being:

- The horizontal window shows you your whole party in one screen, but there's less room for information and I have to shrink the portraits to make them fit

- The vertical window gives you full-sized portraits and there's plenty of room to display more information later on if I decide it would be helpful to show (I'm not displaying character alignments, for example). The downside is you have to scroll down to see the rest of your party, so you don't as easily get a clear sense of "hey, you're creating a whole party of characters".

What do you think looks better?

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
