Well, my project is still in its very early stages, but I've been fiddling around and came up with these maps. Thanks to Celianna and Mack for the wonderful tilesets, and I hope these maps do them the slightest justice. :)

And here's how the blacksmith area looks like in game. Thanks to Avadan for the big-sword knight sprite and Super Stick Lyonn for the sprite used as my blacksmith.

Now here's another two screens of the starting point in the game.

I used Khas' Awesome Light Effects script to try and get more of a cosy sort of look in the first screenshot.

@Jeneeus

Putting it less bluntly, you should vary the distribution of the trees to make it look less aesthetic, add more gaps between the trees and make different cluster shapes. :3

I do quite like your dungeon layouts though. ^^

@Paddy

Your town isn't that bad at all, maybe you should vary the foliage a bit more, (more bushes and rocks and stuff) also needs a bit more colour, maybe more NPCs, but that's just my opinion :3

Man Lyonn is such a good spriter >.> and Celianna's tiles do look AMAZING!

Yeah! Treasure chests, recovery springs, save points... stuff like that!
I changed the healing spot in the cave at a dead end area.

As I thought, my cemetery map is a little bad mapping.

As for the dungeon, I used Ctrl+D with modifications (The volcano is not fully finished though).

Todd, I think it looks pretty good to me. I think I would choose either a different wall or floor. They're different colors but the pattern is so similar they kinda blend together anyway.

Also, I think the painting above the kitchen is a bit off. Not a normal place to hang a painting. Maybe add some shelves or hanging herbs there or something?

Thanks I'll replace the painting, I may go back and change the floors to something else.

@AK: Them shots look pretty schweet. It might just be the atmosphere of the maps but it seems pretty lonely, I'm not sure if thats intentional however...

Mimic'd a map from the game SellSword to show the potential of PArallaxing. That's literally all I did, was try my best to take inspiration from one map and turn it into a Parallaxed map.

Original:

Parallaxed:

SellSword inspiration, just to kinda prove a point?

Hanzo, Mack, Celianna for Tiles.

I know I could have added more detail topleft/top right. Just did it to prove a point / provide an example.

AK I am loving that map more and more! I always wanted to have multiple points in each area to enter and exit.

And Shablo, that map is an improvement, I think we've seen too much potential of Parallaxing maps.

shablo—grass doesn't "fade" in and out like that. don't be afraid to have hard edges when you need them. it will give the world much more depth.

and what is the problem?

I am writing in English or that attempt

I do not speak a word of Spanish, but can tell you that nothing is lost in not being able to read the words in your video. It is breathtaking, and I only hope to be able to create something as nice!
thank you very much

Your Narration seems forced. It seems like you're forcing that voice, it doesn't feel natural at all.

You obviously haven't seen my driveway.

;)

I like what Shablo's done here. If he was going for a "I have bricks that have the hint of grasses growing through them" vibe, then I feel he's captured this in his map.

Heya guys, its been a while, and I see that everyone's talent just keeps rising! All of you are amazing at what you do!

Anyway, college crap has kept me busy, but I have been working on a tileset every now and again...

It's still in the extremely early stages, but every tile you see is custom. It's not too great, but it's a start...

Tell me what you think guys!

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
