Thank you very much for taking your time to criticize for me! What you both said are definitely valid points that I need to work on.
(Raven, you were definitely right with certain aspects being overused; I guess I got carried away when I wanted to test a few things and it came out according to my taste xd)
And Kaelan, yes, I cannot agree more with what you suggested. It really is a pity though; when the players fight antagonists that use kaduki sprites as their medium, I wanted it to stay consistent with how they look even in battle. Of course, there's plenty of big and detailed monster sprites out there, but sometimes that's just not what I need. I guess I'll need to look into spriting, because I feel as if I've limited my options.
And as you both have mentioned, I suppose the weapon sprites will have to go. I sort of wanted it to have that feeling where they're hovering overhead, ready to rain down on the players. I guess I'll just make my own less obnoxious and out-of-place animations for this.

I'll sheepishly admit it really isn't difficult to do. I'm using a script called Map Title by OriginalWij, which pretty much takes care of all the technical aspects of how it works. Other than that, it's just eventing. (e.g. interact with the tree, turn on a switch that enables parallax mapping which changes how the map looks)
