How about a little try-out of Mack tiles, using parallax... :]

I don't really like the light coming from the window. Couldn't you soften the bottom or something?

@Apollo: no, this is not the right thread to ask. In fact, you'd probably be better off asking this in your profile feed, because it doesn't warrant much discussion, and it's a very short question.

@Celianna. Thank you. You'll have to forgive my noobishness, I'm new to the site.

A friend of mine showed me this place, since we were creating a game. If what I'm seeing is true, RPG Maker will help me make the game in half the time.

@Jaydee. The second one is better with the window lighting. Before the light was too strong, with it slightly faded as it is now, looks much more realistic.

Second testing... :)

-snip-
I noticed something! The red and green sleeping bags appear to be floating in mid air. You might wanna fix that.

Other than that the map looks perfect!

Working on some outdoor stuff again. This field is for a sort of capture-the-flag game that serves as the tutorial. Lower fort is the start, upper fort is the goal. It'll be guarded, so there's a pretty simple trick to getting inside.

The full map (scaled down to 50%, since full size is 6.5 MB)

And some in-game:

The bridge and river.

The upper fort.

And the shade under the trees.
Color contrast, etc. are still a work in progress. Still trying to balance the level of realism with the cartoony nature of the sprites. Sky's the limit on what I can add to this, so if it were an RTP map, what do you think I'm missing?

Neato! Reminds me of crash bandicoot. This is pre-rendered 3D? What program did you use to make this? And I'm guessing that you're using Ace?

To answer: it is a prerendered map, made with Blender, running in Ace using a custom map format inspired by the Infinity Engine.

Cool. I'm not sure what you're going for, so the only criticism I have is lack of foliage.

@Lone Wolf: I'm really impressed by your 3d modeling skills and the screens look very nice overall. My few complaints are that the blend between the dirt path and grass seem to have a sort of dissolve effect where I think they'd look much better with a smoother faded type of blending, also while the cliffs and trees are textured and look outstanding the grass appears to be a plain green color which I feel negatively contrasts the meshes and the floor, and finally I think a broader color palette would better serve your mapping and give more life to them.

@Sailerius: Their expressions are the almost the same (face shape the same, the nose the same, the mouth the same). Are they twins or related? Otherwise I find that really distracting. Otherwise, looking good. Not sure if the facial expression matches what's being said, but I don't know if she's saying it in a joking way. I'd also almost fade out one portrait when the other is talking because it just occurred to me I have no idea which one is talking.

Do you like flowers ? ^^ (just fooling around)

1. What do you think of the flower packs ?

2. It seems to me that it's a bit empty though... How about you ?

Onkei69: The flower-clumps near the trees would look better a little away from the bottom of the tree. I figure you wanted to put it only on the trunk, but the trees have such tiny trunks it would be better if you moved the flowers away from them a bit and rather have the flowers wrap around the tree (being underneath and behind the trunk too as well as in front). Right now, it looks like the flowers and stuff have gone up into the tree but you don't usually see that.

Otherwise, I think maybe a few plant-clumps could fill up parts of your map, but as it stands now, it's not bad for what it is. :)

Pretty nice, quigon. Though the little leaves at the bottom seem a bit off but it could just be me...

Nice stuff Quig! My only suggestion would be to move the set of bottom tent tiles down so they start at the bottom of the tile rather than half way up :3

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
