I love that screenshot quigon, I'd personally cut the graphics where the tent opens up because the outside is just a couple of pixels in length. Are those custom graphics?

@quigon: If possible, a small amount of opacity (transparency) on the lower tent wall would allow the player to see what's against the tent walls. Just a suggestion (I always want to inspect everything in video games. It's a personal preference).

Latest screenshot from my project, the Legend of Yaedith; this is a shot from the Introduction Scene. I was wondering how the map and Mack/Kaduki sprites look together?

@Quigon: That looks really nice. Where are those tent tiles from? I don't think I've ever seen those before

Usagi: I think the two work together. Will you be adding more diversity to the scene?

Worked on the ground floor of the farmhouse today, so much editing!

@ Usagi

I think you really need to add more diversity, not just a mass of trees. Some flowers, stones, some natural clutter.

@ Joy

Looks awesome, really like the colors and the details. Just the wall, the right side of the kitchen looks weird, it should be that far out imo.

Aside from that, just something minor with the shadows, some furniture has a shadow to the right, some doesn't, the stairs on the top don't have one either.

Hmm.yes..I see the issues. The wall from the right side of the kitchen was there to match the building's outer footprint..but you're right, it looks silly.

Fixed:

I wasn't going to put anything else in because its a map just as you leave a Kingdom going into a forest. I guess towards the bottom of the map I can put in some flowers as that transfers to a forest.

Yeah it just needs something more imo, atm, it's just a clamped mass of trees.

Some natural spaces, some flowers, anything the like.

The style looks awesome, but if the rest of the forest looks similar to that, then it's almost just green, you need some more diversity.

Another try-out: :D

P.S.: It is left empty on purpose (apart from the special LFX), because I wanted to know what I should put in a Steampunk Museum (the entrance, at least), which the place is supposed to represent. Thank you in advance guys. :)

@Usagi:

Great map. :D

Joy,

Cat :3 I like the screenshot! Looks lovely. Did you use parralex or the RPGM mapping?

Jaydee,

I like it, but think there should be some kind of carpet in the middle of the room.

I would like to show off some of my recent works over the last few days. One of the main reasons why I have been so busy is that I've been working on these maps. What do you think?

Kingdom of Yaedith (Humans)

The Sylvari Forest (Elves)

@Quigon: I agree with others that it'd be better stopping the map at the bottom of the tent.

@Joy : it feels warm and cozy... But somehow, I think the kitchen is too narrow.

--------------------------------

Here's another try ! I'm afraid the RTP trees aren't good at giving a marsh atmosphere, though...

@Usagi The Kingdom of Yaedith maps looks a bit good, still theres some things i' wondering about. why did you add a cave entrance under water? other than that it looks good. Me personally ain't a fan of that tileset, that's why I can't say it looks awesome.

In addition my biggest complaint is that sprite, Imma be honest it looks stretched and right out hideous. if you could make it like that and not look stretched then it would've been a great sprite.

@Onkei96

I like the map, it's simple, as you said though theres that blocky feeling towards the mountains (that can't be helped, it's the way off the RTP). Other than that I thought oyu did a good job!, keep it up and advance your skills!

@Raine - Underwater caves are realistically common. However, it plays an important part in the game. You have to escape from a jail and swim underwater through these interlinking 'underwater caves'.

As for the sprite, it's just a placeholder which I've mentioned on my game project thread. I'm also going to make the 'grass' underwater become dirt by just simply editing the tileset.

There! you answered my questions, Can't wait to play that escape, swimming in rpg maker ain't too common!

@Deenos

Don't know what to say about the screenshots really...they don't say much, looks pretty generic though, but that's just my opinion though. Good luck :)

Been spending a lot of time over the last couple weeks working on adding new stuff to my combat system. It started getting silly to have all sorts of cool features in the works and still looking like a terrible proof-of-concept thing in screenshots, so I stopped adding features for a bit and spent the last few days revamping the UI.

This is what it used to look like:

This is what it looks like now:

Thoughts?

Edit: Made a couple extra changes, updated a few of the screenshots.

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
