With a little bit of research and some creative liberties, I've remade the world's most popular planet in VX Ace.

Japan, Hawaii, and Britain are a lot larger than what they are in real life so there can be space for towns.

Looks cool. I feel you could have made it a bit bigger, though. To add more resolution to the map itself, so you wouldn't have to make certain countries bigger.

PV Games? What's that exactly? (unless you meant PC games, in which case I'd ask which)

But that aside, the screenshots looks really good, I like that style.

I liked it! It's a neat mechanic. Why is the battle so short though?

@Cleo: The maps look pretty good, nice and polished. One thing though, the font you are using is pretty difficult to read. May I suggest a simpler one?

Some maps have been edited since the screenshot was taken, and a lot of the screenshots that seem a bit empty have been filled in with detail.

So I'm making a game for the Halloween contest. I figured I'd get some second opinions on my maps so far.

I still have some tidying up to do on the tileset, so please ignore any stray flecks, they will be dealt with soon. I'm mostly looking for opinions on the layout. Am I cluttering too much, not enough, and I leaving clear paths, stuff like that. thanks

that's an interesting city snippet you've got there. I'd love to see more of the map when available. the placement of the purple roofset is kinda throwing me off though, haha.

That city seems like it would be really cool to explore, and sweet mapping video. And yeah, haha there are a lot because I just joined rpg maker web and on the vx ace forums i've posted a ton more before.

Daw, I just saw that video, how did you learn to use photoshop so well. Q_Q

I have no complaints about the maps. There is nothing odd about either of them. :)

Except...why are the flags on top of the purple houses? I think they should be underneath...

Thanks for spotting that, Rimmintine. And for later maps, I'll try to be careful where to place those roof pieces.

However, I plan on allowing the player to walk on those and get treasure.

I caught a few other things. I have an eye for illogical mapping. I see it so much in completed games, but I usually don't say anything. D:

I'm the same way. Of course, that won't stop me from making mistakes :3

That isn't an issue. There is a building is on top of another building. You could argue that it looks odd, though. Always room for improvement~

    @Clareain_Christopher

Love the city map. Did you make all the building tiles? I don't think I've ever seen those before.

Great video too. Always nice to see how everybody else gets their own work done - and I might have to favorite Uppermost's soundcloud now, that's exactly the type of music I listen to while getting work done :p
