Anyone can confirm if xbox 360 gamepad for pc works on rpgmakermv? planning to buy one but I dont want to waste money on nothing. I only got first generation xbox controller and theres no way you can make it work on this new rpgmaker even with all the software installed.

As far as I know nothing has been said about it. This is a really good question...

I'm actually having the same problem as well. And it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue like before. In fact it seems to be MV - specific. And specific to controllers

All the other makers seem to work fine with my controller after unplugging my key board , mouse, and game pad, then restarting and plugging them back in afterwards.

Any help on this would be fantastic

I too am having controller issues. Though, for me, it is a Logictec controller. And I am having issues using the assign function and controlling the Dash.

I can confirm the X360 pad (wireless) is working fine (I put the Yanfly gamepad plugin), but you can't just move the cursor right away on the menu unless you press "A" before, like to "activate" the gamepad.

(had the same thing to do with Construct2 if I remember well)

But I tried something less conventionnal, a gamecube pad plugged on a USB converter (juste to have a look without too much faith), and it was a mess, even the D Pad was wrong, like pushing right to go down etc.

The X360 is perfect, both stick and D Pad are working, default button mapping is great too.

In my experience, any of the face buttons will register the gamepad. This is useful because the A button activates menu options.
