Hello guys!
I'm almost done my RPG. Finally :D

I was wondering if it's possible to show to the players their progress. Like in Castlevania, or Super Mario Wii.
At the end of the game, they show that you complete 86,9% of the game for example.

My game is full of hiden items, hiden chests, and etc. All of them was made using switches. Not self switch.
For example, if you found the Potion on the table, you activated the switch number 13. And so on.

So I was thinking that maybe it's possible to do that using something to compare how many switches was turned ON.
So, if the player activate 200 of 380 switches. He did 52,64% of the game.

Any ideas?
Thank you very much in advance!
Thales.

Instead of using switches, why not just increase a variable each time the player does something that would increase game progress?
So if the player finds the potion on that table, it increases that variable by 1, and likewise with other hidden stuff in the game.

Then, just divide that variable by the total number of said hidden stuff (you should know the total) and just like that you have your game progress.

Hello Naveed! Thank you for help me!
It's a nice idea. And it will allow me to rate each one as they worth in the game progress.

Thank you!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
