I have tried that!
Unfortunately, my frames drop to 60 from 20-30 every time is recording :(
But it still works!
Maybe a better computer can avoid the frame drop.

Well MV can theoretically play webm files so you could set up a scene to record for a certain amount of time and play it back again later as security cam footage or something along those lines. Assuming you can dictate the filename at least.

That's a great idea. I just got reminded of the 'camera replay' of Katana ZERO, for instance! I wonder if that can be done.

@ciderpunk1984 I dont think you understand the meaning of this plugin.
there are others than can record games and save as webm. but this plugin can be used for security and track down YOUR MOVEMENTS instead of movement with default routes.

What Oliin said, you can play back as security footage, how would you do that if you "pre-made" that footage
if the movements are very different from what the player did?

Thanks for reminding me. It's true that I am a newbie at this...

Hmm. Right. So it can make an event in active play to record and then play that movie during playthrough?
Though if the recording can crash the game, it's not very usable. Plus what if the computer runs out of space for recording?
The idea is nice, but can cause problems. I see people running into issues with it while they play.

try to make a scene for a maximum of 20 seconds or so, but run out of space can cause
a problem, you have a nice point there @kako05 .

you have to warn the player beforehand, or try to use a maximum of 10 record scenes
to stay at a minimum of space for use.

It's a good plug-in if you know the right use for it (I have a very specific use in mind which this fits wonderfully for). That said, at least in my experience you have to modify the code a bit to make it useable to play in-game videos. By default it creates a new Video folder to save videos in and the video title includes the date and time the recording was made -- Which is good for saving and organizing recordings, but for use to playback videos in RPG Maker MV itself it makes it so the engine can't read the the videos (it can only read videos in the Movies folder, and only videos with titles you tell the engine to look for -- which is impossible if the recorded videos have newly generated titles each recording due to the date and time).

That said, it's actually pretty easy to modify the code and change how the video filenames are titled and where it saves the videos to, so not much of a problem.
