How interesting is the idea of a post-apocalyptic/mystery/rpg?
I was thinking of making a game in a setting where instead of being defeated in the past and now coming back to try to take over the world, an evil cult actually won and sent the country into a post-apocalyptic tailspin. The game play will include mystery elements, namely problem solving, and only knowing minimal amounts of information to start, and slowly gaining more as you uncover more facts. The game will also be an rpg because it won't be set in one area, but across the whole country, and will feature some sort of battle system, I haven't decided yet. The story is going to be rather large, because each decision you make will affect the outcome at least a little bit, depending on how big the question at hand is, and the story will be the main theme of the game.
Let me know if you think this game is worth playing, or if it sounds super boring. I'd rather know now than spend months on it and then have no one even play it.
If you have any ideas you think might make the game more interesting let me know, I'm always open to input
