HI! new to rpg maker MV and havent used any older rpg makers in aloooong time, working on a game idea but one major issue is for the game i have planed i need to remove character levels & character experience.... but i have no idea where to even begin with doing such a thing any help or advise would be greatly appreciated thanks !!

Two easy ways you can do this, are either start your characters at maximum level in the database, so they can't level any further, or just modify the enemy data sheets to grant 0 exp when defeated.

yeah that's an option i am aware, was more wondering if there was way to do away with levels and character experience completely so its not
*Character A - LvL 1/99 (and never levels up)*
or at end of every battle " 0 EXP!! "

Experience gain is not shown if no experience is gained. The only messege you will see at the end of battle is the "(Player) is victorious!" (which you can change how you like)


For the level, you can remove the word and abbreviation for it to prevent it from showing up anywhere, but you'll still see a number (the level of the character) on the character page... For that, you may just need a UI plugin to remove it.

this sounds very promising =3 thanks. any good places to look for UI plugin ??

It's a plugin


download it and put it in your plugins folder


then chose it in plugin manager

That .js is your answer!


Drop that file into your (projectname)/js/plugins


Then go to tools -> Plugin manager.


Double click on an empty line, and activate that plugin.


That will remove levels and exp. It won't display in the character sheet.

Hello this works. Is there a way to remove Lv. reference from save menu (i'm using YEP save plugin) and from battle results (YEP plugin) too?

@joket this is older than 5 years old, make a new thread.
and to remove level in the YEP_SaveCore, you can find it and rule it out.

but make your own thread for this issue.
