Sadly, I vote no. You know what they say, I'll just wait for someone kind enough to share it for free. :)

After this, surely you'll consider releasing 2k or 2k3!

@Soul. what?

As for the pack, I've been leaning towards a retro game, but I've never had the resources to do it. Looks great! :guffaw:

I'd pass on the graphics part of the pack any music is a different matter.

Would prefer to see an official English release of RM2k and RM2K3 instead.

I voted other, I need a little bit more detailed to be convinced, however, I love the idea.

If your open to suggestions, some looped versions of link's awakening soundtrack would get me to buy it in a heart-beat.

Oh, and just wondering, how much would you estimate the price to be? just a rough estimate...

RPGMakerWeb, I'm really happy that you're undertaking this project... I'll let you finish, but a version with an NES-style color palette would be one of the best tilesets of all time. One of the best tilesets of all time!
*hands back the microphone and runs off-stage.*

(But yeah, I'd still buy this. In addition to the NES-style game in my head, there's a gameboy esque game I've been thinking about ever since I played Tower of Heaven.)

Probably not. If someone wants to have extremely crappy graphics in his game, he can simply apply a few filters in a photo editing program.
I've actually tried making NES and Gameboy graphics based off of the RTP by using filters. While I did succeed in making crappy graphics, I didn't succeed in making anything that looks convincingly retro. Turns out there's a lot more effort to it, especially for people like me who have no inclination toward spriting or hand-painting color palettes.

I think it's pretty awesome and it definitely reminds me of games I used to play waaaayyy back on the original game boy (I feel old now). I think it would be nifty and perhaps a bit nostalgic to have such graphics, but realistically and practically I am unsure if it would be something I would ever actually use. If these were in color instead of the shades of green that they are, that might tip the scales since 8 and 16-bit retro graphics are all the rage these days for indie games. However, unless someone is making an 8-bit noir game, then I can't see too much practical use. Still though, any new resource is a good resource. More options are always better, so I would vote yes.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
