Someone was having a great time cutting onions while I was playing The Walking Dead. Man, that game. It's depressing. It's intense. It's amazing. It's such a well written piece. I'd recommend this to everyone, even if you're not a fan of Walking Dead. I think this is a game that everyone should experience.

I never cried playing any game, but I almost did with Mother 3. God, that story lives up to it's slogan "Strange, funny, heartrending". The beginning is so sad, the end is even worse.

Arg.

Even Pokey/Porky is tragic in it's own way.

My first rpg on rpg maker made me cry too when I realised that all my stuper mapping storytelling was in fact a stuper pile of jerk.

But well, we all start one day right? :)

Let's take Visual Novels into account here too. I cried while playing Clannad and Katawa Shoujo. I also got close during To The Moon and the ending of Final Fantasy X.

Ah, if we're counting visual novels, then the end of Yuu's arc in ef. And the end of eden* they were only two on the planet. Especially eden*, this ending is downright cruel.

Final fantasy IX when you think Vivi finds he has black mages like himself and tries grabbing the hat but just cant because it blows away in an explosion. It makes you feel as if like what if you were the only one left of your kind.

I'm sure the necromorphs are already quite familiar with your soft insides ;3

The first Kingdom Hearts game always gets me right in the feel bads and I get all teary eyed. When I was a kid I got a bit teary eyed when I beat Shining Force: Legacy of Great Intention as well, and that game really set me off on the fantasy RPG genre. Odd to think that a game changed your life, but SF certainly did.

When I got the bad ending in Suikoden 2 and both Nanami and Jowy die, oh the tears. Also when Neclord brings Daisy back to life, and when they talk about Genkaku, so yeah, pretty much the entire game I cried during.

I, myself never cried in many games but I'm very saddened with most of them. But there's a game, even if I already spoiled while playing it, that made my eyes watery and it's... FF7...
This is the one that got me with the death scene. I didn't cry with it but I definitely got emotional.

For me it was probably Bastion or um...Final Fantasy X. Even the good ending is a bit sad.

Like everyone else; The Walking Dead left me numb.

I was also left melancholic by the last scene in Persona 3 and the bad end of Persona 4.

^ That! Replaying FF IX now, and I cried at the same point. Vivi is, imo , very similar to Wall-E... his sorrowful yellow eyes are just... just soo sad. The way he pull up his pants, the way he readjust the hat, geez this is one of the very few RPG characters that I can connect to ...

And Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2 and XIV... I cried, with rage, and wondered how the mighty have finally fallen.

I cried when I played Doctor Lautrec because I realised that sometimes reviews ARE correct. Oh, all I can say is that that game instantly made me crave Professor Layton. And that, in turn, made me cry even MOAR because the next Layton game won't be out in yonks. ;o;

In all seriousness, I don't think I've cried at any game. That's probably scratched down to me not playing many games in the first place. If I had the chance to play Nier, though, I think I'd cry.

The good Bioshock ending made me choke up. And by choke up I mean cry in the fetal position.

Oh and Dear Esther.

Agreed, FF7, maybe because it's my favorite RPG game ever... But still, the new The Walking Dead game (not the one released this year, the 2012 one), the game has an amazing story, not much action, but the story in reaaaaally perfect, and it makes you cry at the end... I got a little sad with Mass Effect 3 too, but I wouldn't put him on the list.

I never really cried but came close during the final boss battle of Kingdom Hearts II. The ending of Kingdom Hearts I as well, actually.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
