Sorry if this does not belong here. I am new .... ish ... not really.

Any ways, The game I have been working on, which is far away from demo land contains mature subject matter such as strong language, violence (obviously, I mean what RPG doesn't have violence (rhetorical question)), sexuality and themes revolving around death, religion and suicide.

The game isn't as dark as you think.

I read some where that children frequent these forms. While there is no nudity or sexual talk (that would be considered "cybering") there are gay characters and in the early stages of the game you deal with some homophobic people and such.

What exactly are the rules regarding the forum and game submission? I don't shoot up schools or assassinate presidents or deal with heavy political stuff. Theres heavy concepts of religion (think more FF tactics then modern day religion) and such.

So ya .... What is and what isn't allowed? I haven't seen a list of "this can be submitted and this cannot, oh and this ... this over here?! See it?! You'll be banned. Don't touch these cookies!"

The rules are in stickied in each respective project forum (where people post their games). These are the Early Project Feedback forum, the Project Development Forum, and the Completed Games forum.

I think specifically what you are looking for is this snippet from one of those stickied threads:

Posting projects which contain elements of religion, politics and/or sex are allowed, but please provide a disclaimer in the header of your thread. We will not accept R18+ games, as this is a board for R13. Please be aware that a lot of children use this forum.

Here's one of the rule's links for reference: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?threads/early-project-feedback-rules-and-guidelines.23241/

Keep the forums posted with the progress on your game! I'm excited to hear more!

There isn't a list because that gets too complicated too fast and is too easily subjective. It's a PG-13 site, so the things on this forum should be that rating or lower. Religious talk in the context of the game is allowed, supporting illegal activities is not. If your game is PG-13 but has some content that's objectionable, it's considered polite to put a content warning on your project page.

I will. Thanks.

Hmm, So question: HBO. Game of thrones. Oz. Not allowed? Obviously my game is not those tv shows, but its not: 18+, its more Rated M for mature. But if you are familiar with HBO then you are gonna be familiar with the darker subject themes I explore.

Game of Thrones is over the line by a lot. Don't know anything about Oz. I think the TV equivalent is somewhere between TVY7 and TV14. In game rating terms it'd be below M. It's a legal thing, not an opinion thing.

Makes sense. I was just seeing where the line was in this community for games.

In very non-scientific terms, the line that seems to be drawn here is that your game isn't allowed if what it contains is way "over the top". General violence, use of blood, implication of sex, most swearing, and actual mature themes (like suicide) are fine to have in your games that are advertised/linked here. Slight gore, softcore nudity, occasional dropping of f-bombs or occasional use of slurs, dismemberment, celebration of violence to people, highly controversial themes, etc. mean that your game thread should include a content warning, and you should avoid showing those offending elements in the thread itself. Extreme gore, graphic depictions of blood and guts, lurid depictions of sex, pornography, ubiquitous use of extreme cursing and/or real-life ethnic slurs, or anything that would reasonably lead to players harming themselves or anyone else in real life are some of the things that are way over the top and don't belong here.

I haven't been on here in forever wow(missed my forum birthday T-T). Anyways, I'm dabbling in BGMs, here's something I'm actually willing to share.

Binge-watched 6 episodes of the Erased anime... And that means I've watched half of it?! Sigh...
I'm bad at base-building games (looking at other players created an aesthetically beautiful base compared to me), but IDK why I keep playing the game and seek more of it.
Pyra and Mythra in smash ultimate are way too OP. They're basically Smash 4 Bayonetta 2.0, and not in a good way. Very toxic and unfair. At least they're hot tho.
