Games you acknowledge are good but still don't like.

For me:

- The Fallout series: it's too gritty and depressive for my tastes. I prefer Borderlands (especially 2) over it any day

- World of Warcraft: too grindy and not suitable for "casual" play (as in, you have to be online constantly to not fall behind)

- Most FPS games: I'm more for TPS-es.

- Baldur's gate, Dragon age and most D&D-esque games: the setting just doesn't do it for me, it doesn't pull me in.

Elsword.

This is one of those games that falls under the WoW category, or pretty much every other MMO in existence: you have to be online constantly in order to differentiate yourself between the good and bad players. The side-scrolling action is wayyy cool and intense and really really fun if you grind your character up, but PvP is terribad (as expected), and there's mild skewing for those P2W players (as expected), and if you're not playing a PvP portion of an MMO, then you're not really playing an MMO.

At least, in my opinion.

From my view, MMO's enjoyment factor seems to come from an addiction to it; like, it seems boring at first, but the more you play it, the more you adapt to the mechanics and whatnot and you just feel comfortable dicking about in it.

This is definitely probably a dumb view, but whatever.

No I'd say that's about right.

That and investment.

The more powerful your character becomes, the better they are then the dozens upon hundreds, upon thousands of others, the more pride you feel for that character and the more you want them to improve.

At least that's what kept me going in WoW for so long before I kind of tapered off.

It was fun, just not...ah fun enough I guess.

For me it's Zelda 2 and Etrian Odyssey. I mean GOD, why are they both so HAAAAAAAARD?! ;_;

Zelda 2 I agree with emphatically, and the EO series can be very difficult. But if it's any consolation, Etrian Odyssey IV has the option for an easier difficulty setting.

I've got a love/hate thing going on with Etrian Odyssey. XD

It's halfway I love the challenge and seeing my characters finally reaching that point of being able to easily beat monsters/ half hating the ever loving piss out of the fact that most creatures that I'll end up fighting can take me out in 1-3 turns. T-T

Really? Etrian Odyssey 3 wasn't that tough for me. You kind of have to spend skill points and items wisely.

And know how to manage and gain money/materials for characters.

Me thinks I'm just kind of bad at doing that. XD

Although I think EO3 might have been easier, been awhile since I played any of the 3 I have.

Ah, you know what, I always thought DDO (dungeons and dragons online) was a solidly made MMO, but I kinda stopped playing after I hit level 7. XD

I wonder why that was...

Super Mario Bros.  (Actually, ANY Mario game, quite frankly.)  Yes, I understand it revolutionized the platforming genre (which is my favorite genre) but I can't get past the main character.  The games are fun, well put together, and a joy to play.  I just think the main hero is lame.  He's a chubby Italian plummer with a mustache, who wears overalls.  They couldn't come up with something better than that?  Really?

Also, Call of Duty.  I get it...I just don't like it.  Well, the zombie sequences are fun.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...
