Oh, yeah, I hate the Disney aspect of kingdom hearts.

You could have the the exact same game with the same story, but with more interesting worlds and side-characters, if they had just dropped Disney, and made everything square-enix style instead.
Without Disney, It wouldn't have been that much different from a Final Fantasy.

I don't see the point in football games coming out every year or sometimes twice in one year. Mechanics seem to stay the same and graphics are slightly upgraded each round. What's the appeal?

I'm going to jump into the KH hat dogpile too. The first game was promising, but then it became bogged down with ****ty story with boring characters who literally look the same except for their hairstyle, the disney crossovers began to serve as detrimental to the plot, and it's a dayum mess of clashing ideas. I almost brought DDD for the TWEWY crossover, but then just watched the cutscenes on Youtube, and am really glad I didn't buy it DDD should win some award for awkward voice acting.

Lol, Phantasy Star 2. I love it in so many ways, but those things I cherish are spread out over a clunky, circuitous grindfest that tries to get away with as little story and dialog as it possibly can. "Right, now that we've filled our quota of human emotion for a good long while, let's get back into one of those soul-crushing dungeons people find so satisfying." It's hard to believe I ever finished it. And by today's standards, the game is an abomination.

To be fair, I think most of the game's fans realize this by now. If not, PS4 is still a great game; compare and contrast.

I've beaten Phantasy Star II and still couldn't care about it. It was stilted and clunky. IV is obviously the height of Phantasy Star and is one of my favorite games of that generation. (III had some interesting ideas but was still really really stiff feeling)

Minecraft. League of Legends. DOTA2. Any war-themed first-person shooter (CoD, MoH, BF...). Most WoW-clone MMORPGs. Probably I hate them because I suck playing them and I don't feel any "need" of getting better.

There is probably a lot more,

Super Mario 3D Land. Worst platformer ever; how can Nintendo make a platforming game where the camera angles kill you because you can't tell any kind of distance, even with 3D on? Infuriating level design. Hnngh.

Other than that, TWEWY: What an annoying game that is. I actually bought the iOS version too, because people said it was better by removing the dual screen battling. What I got was an even bigger mess of a battlesystem where it mistakes swipes for taps and taps for flicks. How can people enjoy this travesty?

Glad to get that off my chest. Phew.

^This.

Nintendo has been releasing a bunch of stinkers, lately.  Anyone who reads my status updates knows my opinion on Metroid:  Other M.

But they've also released some amazing games; Fire Emblem: Awakening is just incredible, for example. And Animal Crossing: New Leaf is also really good. But yeah, some games will fail to meet our expectations. Then again, keep in mind a lot of people enjoy these games even though we don't; there's nothing wrong with that :)

All GTA games. I hate them with a passion, which is making it near impossible not to foam at the mouth this week. The games themselves are passable at best but it's the so-called satirical 'humour' that gets me. I can't play those games without feeling thoroughly depressed and losing all hope in humanity. I feel like it'd be fine, if I could just switch off my soul for a few hours but the complete lack of redeeming features in the worlds and their inhabitants makes it so mind-numbingly miserable I can't handle it. Plus they're so over-rated and for all the wrong reasons. I just don't get it. [side-note: Vice City was actually quite enjoyable for me, if I just ignored the story and missions completely and just drove around listening to K-Chat and 80s Power Ballads while running over old ladies and Michael Jackson look-a-likes]

The Last of Us. Not only is the gameplay basically Uncharted with the animations slowed down, only without any sense of freedom and SO many bugs/inconsistencies, the creepy, pseudo-incest, rapey vibe of the story is just awful. It's as if the entire game is built around the premise of demeaning, dis-empowering or just plain destroying it's female characters in one way or another.

Dear Esther... was an indie nightmare from hell. The soundtrack is one of the best I've ever heard and from a talented [and very lovely IRL] composer, but the 'game' itself is just utter nonsense that's just full of itself. It's just artsy for the sake of being artsy but doesn't actually attempt to say anything with it, or if it does, does a terrible job of getting it across.

As a bonus, a couple of games I love that a lot of people hate: Bayonetta. That crazy ho is all kinds of awesome, easily the best action titles of it's kind IMO. I also find it interesting that people seem to be fine in the industry with female characters being passive and sexualised by men or male characters, but as soon as you get a sexually aggressive female protagonist, video game journalists everywhere lose their shizzle.

And Resident Evil 6. Yeah it's not RE anymore, but who cares, I get to slide on the floor, do cartwheels and scissor-kick zombies in-half! :rock-left: D:< :rock-right:

Knights of the Old Republic. I got ten minutes into it, and couldn't do it. I bet it's story is amazing, but sitting there waiting for 'dice roll combat' has got to be the worse possible thing ever invented. Other than crocs....and maybe even then.

Other than that, I used to hate MOBA's, but now I'm half decent at DotA, so I'm enjoyin it (Just unboxed 6 new chests, and got an Unusual Snowl, So cute!!!!!!).

Oh, and Megaman. Finally started playing old games, battletoads was easy, megaman I can't do.

All of the Call of Duty games and sports games. I really don't understand the fun in playing a sport in a video game. Half the fun of video games is doing things that you could never do in real life.

No one is really needed to get better in any game... It's all about what you want... Most people feels the need because they enjoy being "strong" and also since if you are playing with your friends, then you get "bragging rights"... XD...

And oh, Temple Run and all of the games based on it...

Call of duty series, the same sheep keep on buying it over and over and i don't know why.

Sports series ( same as above) but here's the thing about sports games, i don't play them but the fact they release them every year is just stupid, it's a cash grab to me, all they do is change the roster, that can easily be done with a game update.

Yeah that's pretty much it for me.

I also hate FF XIII and refuse to play the sequels.

Oh lord, is this going to turn into another "Hey here is this whole genre that doesn't appeal to me so let's bash it" thread?

Seriously. Stating games that are completely outside the possibility of you liking (like me and mmos, or me and military shooters, both of which I have no interest in) is boring. It doesn't SAY anything about the game other than that you aren't even the target audience so why SHOULD it appeal to you.

The reason I listed the two games I specifically did (Legend of Dragoon, TWEWY) is because they are games where I SHOULD have been in the target audience, yet I couldn't stand them.

I'm trying to play Skyward Sword, but like with Twilight Princess, it seems this is Zelda game #2 I just might not be able to complete. I can't stand the motion controls, even if they're somewhat akin to the movement of my wrist flicks. I mean, it's not fun at all, it's annoying... And when it tells me to point the sword skyward, I have to hold my hand sort of... upward but 40 degrees off. Why is this motion BS a thing!? T_T I want to enjoy this game – I love the art direction and story so far – but the gameplay is killing my joy.

Yeah, most of the *******s you have to deal with in the GTA storylines make you hate the human race and everything related to it, but... YOU.  TANK.  CITY FULL OF SUCKERS.  You don't see the potential for fun in this?  Not to mention cheesing the cops off to the point they call in the army and then seeing how long you can survive before they nuke the hell out of your position...

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
