I don't know if its a bug or I'm missing something, but when I make a quest with multiple steps, only one of the steps is vsible in the quest log.

2 problems occurs;; not errors or bugs- but just problems.

1) the In-Progress words do not change even if I change it to 'YoYo' or 'Hopscotch' I think there's a mistake with the internal coding? lolz

2) I use a plugin that lets me put keyword 'A' in place of a text, and I use external sources to put other words in place of said 'A'.

In this case, the quest explanation....... you can see how it is not working properly.

do you think you can fix these 2 problems in the future? lolz thnx!

*edit

3. 3rd problem... I dunno if its the plugin-location, but after completing the quest- I don't obtain the said rewards even though the auto-reward was turned on.

hm, maybe I need to manually put in plugin commands just like for going to next steps? i dunno.

You need to use the 'quest nextstep x' plugin command to show more than the first step in the window.

If you want two steps to be visible from the beginning, you can put it right after the 'quest add x' command that gave you the quest to begin with. You can also put it after any event that completed the first step, or failed it. Anywhere, really.

Ah. I see. Thank you!

---EDIT---

Um... That command is to move the quest into it's next phaze. What I want is to show all steps at once so the player can know before hand what he/she will be doing for the quest as opposed to finding out after completing each step.

Here's an example:

I want to give two goal.

Kill the Spider queen

Kill 10 of her minions

How can I show both of these at once?

If you don't complete the first step, it won't show as being completed until you do.

That's true, but it will be grayed out. Is there a way to make it no gray out the previous "completed" step?

Ah, I see the problem. I had this confused with an updated version of this plugin by @game_stailer94 Game_stailer94's quest system.

His updated plugin is supposed to maintain compatibility with this one, so maybe give that a try and see how it affects your display.

Hi, I'm having a problem with this plugin. In the inner configuration (where you can change the name of the default options) there are 3 option that doesn't change ingame and keep showing their default values.

Ok .. different problem. The editor isn't syncing with ingame data for me. It's reading a bunch of old variable data and it's putting a quest that doesn't even exist anymore into the ingame quest log. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong.

This is all sorts of useful! And pretty, too.

There are just about two bugs I've encountered so far (they're just visual, minor ones):

The first is that, in the Quest Editor, you can't set the icon of a quest to "none" even though by default it is set to not show any icon. If I try to change it to the icon numbered 0, it just shows a blank space in-game, I assume it is because technically the transparent square is still an icon. But, could an option to set "no icon" to a quest be added?

Second one is that, even though I've changed the words in the plugin's options, in-game it still shows the original texts. For example, I've set the word for "Steps" to "Pasos" (in Spanish), but in the game, it's still in English. To be fair, I'm not sure if this is a bug or I'm just doing it wrong.

Also, just two more questions! If a quest's name is too long, it will be cropped at the left part of the quests menu... Is there any way to change manually the left part's width, or to make it auto-scale so the text won't crop? And, how can I just hide the "rewards" part on the right, if there are no rewards for that particular quest?

Still, thank you very much for doing this in the first place!  :)

Hey

I think I had the same problem as you did. What I did is to change the Steps and Rewards word you need to open the plugin with notepad,

and scroll down till a bit that says:

Window_QuestInfo.prototype.drawQuestSteps = function(q) {

Below that you will find a line like this:

this.questBitmap.drawText("Passos", 0, this.lineY, this.contentsWidth(), this.lineHeight());

where it says Passos, thats where I changed it. When you do It it should say Steps. So what you do Is change that to whatever you want and then save!

It worked for me hope it does for you too :D

Hello. I really love using this plugin and I have one request. I want my game to show all the quests you have completed. To do this I made a quest category called "completed". I will make 2 of every quest. The first one will be the actual quest and when it is completed it will remove it and activate the other version of the quest which has the completed category. The only problem with this is I cant copy and paste in the quest editor application so I have to manually enter each quest again. I see 3 solutions to this: adding a copy and paste function, adding the option to switch quest categories, or having a built in completed quest function. Thanks.

So there's a problem with the questing when it comes to gathering and showing progress. There are two items being gathered: 5 dandy and 5 stink. As the quest progresses, it only shows the progress of dandy and not stink, as I gather stink. Could've sworn when I used this plugin before, that it enables as many progess as the user wants to output, long as the requirements are meant in game

I'm getting the error "Cannot read property 'cat' of null

Anybody know if this is going to get fixed or how to fix?

It happens when I open the quest log after accepting a quest.

Is there any way to set a background image for the entire menu's in this plugin? I want to be able to sync it up with the rest of my planned GUI.

The second draft of my script is almost done, and I don't think I'm going to write a third draft. I'll make changes to dialogue here and there, but I'm happy with the series of events the way they are.
How you feel about font and dialogue box changing for every main character while the minor cast and regular npc get their own styles? Too much?
Just found an obviously custom effect (i.e. edited by me) in my resources>sounds folder called "rip jaw off". Dear Lord what is wrong with me as a person that at some point I needed a sound *specifically* for THAT??
(...rhetorical question.)
so like with the whole 'familiarity breeds contempt thingy', how are you supposed to tell if your title screen/battle music gets really tedious after a few dozen plays or if you're just personally hella sick of it?
